oh for fugs sake, making JINX another SDCC exclusive, COME ON HASBLOW! It cost a pretty penny to get Zarana, and now your doing it with Jinx.

I just signed up to the transformers club to get the exclusive figures, and literally that was the only reason, and it was sold out overnight so I missed out.

Getting sick of exclusives on key characters, seriously. I think Im gonna quit these toylines. Its not worth it

They have shown packaged pics of Big Boa & Cover Girl:

I won't be getting the sub, but I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of money trying to get the 2 pictured above. They seem to be the main 2 figures everyone wants. Both are sold out on BBTS pre-orders.

Might grab Klaw & Quarrel if I can.

Re: GI Joe

So - 3 lots of figures in to the GI Joe FSS (and #4 on the way), who ended up getting a sub? I'm glad I did - every figure so far has been interesting to say the leasy, or flat out cool.

My questions though....
1. Any predictions on who bonus 13th figure might be?
2. If they do a 2014 sub (which, by all accounts is going to happen), who would you want to see in it?

My answers to above questions....
1. Obvious answer is Slice (to go with Dice), though I'd love to see an out-there figure like Raptor or Crystal Ball.
2. I wish they introduce a couple more MASK characters into the mix, like Miles Mayhem or Bruce Sato; the two mentioned oddballs in 1.; some characters I had as a kid like Hardball (baseball themed), Recoil and Scoop; some of the later Cobra villains like Cesspool.

I didn't get the sub, but I did track down Big Boa & Quarrel.

I'd hope for Bombstrike or Pythona for the 13th.

I'm slowly heading into the g.I area but have found its rather difficult to find anything in stores. I'd remember when Toyworld had the ROC toys at $2 a figure...should have bought them!

Re: GI Joe

Post by fuzzcat on Sun Apr 07, 2013 4:49 pm

Joecon 2013 is happening right now in the States - Hasbro has no new products on show (or new concepts to reveal), but they have indicated that with a 3rd movie being greenlit already, they will be increasing production on waves 3 and 4 of the Retaliation line.

More excitedly for me is the announcement of the second series of the Figure Subscription Service from the Collector's Club. These have been confirmed as (in no particular order):

1.Skullbuster (Range-Viper Commander)
2.Dragonsky (Oktober Guard Flamethrower)
3.Lt. Falcon (Night Force, with different construction than the Wave 14 version)
4.Big Bear (Oktober Guard Missile Specialist)
5.Admiral Keel Haul
6.Tiger Force Airtight (Brazilian Exclusive)
7.Tiger Force Shipwreck (Brazilian Exclusive)
8.Bombardier (Palitoy gray Flash repaint)
9.Cesspool
10.Desert Scorpion
11.Toll Booth
12.Widescope

Cesspool was one of my favourite figures as a kid (always imagined him acting like John Lithgow did in Cliffhanger), so happy about that. I'll be getting the next sub for sure. What I'm NOT happy about is the absense so far of what the 13th figure is in first sub.....

Where's Bombstrike, Vypra, Munitia, Mayday, Doc, Natalie Poole, Chameleon, female Cobra troopers?

No women is bad. It's not like they are going to run out of females making 4 or 5 a year.

I'll grab the Oktober Guard figures.

Thankfully I have JoeCon NF Lady Jaye, Psyche Out, Crimson Asp & Freestyle on the way from a kind Hisstanker. Will probably try & hunt down Repeater too. Maybe Muskrat.

New Tomahawk is very awesome! Can't wait for that. Also glad to see Kwinn actually listed in an assortment.

I had the original Tomahawk in the early 90s - that and the Hydrofoil Moray were just brilliant toys.

I splurged on a whole boxed set of the Nocturnal Fire figures - do need to track down a Freestyle at some stage.

I agree - no females is bad form. Perhaps there'll be a surprise 13th figure again?

At the con they also talked about the SDCC exclusive - they hinted at another Transformers/GI Joe item, and a set of figures instead of a carded single - maybe Cobra-La?

They do seem interested in Pythona, so I'd say a Cobra-La set has a good chance at some point.

"- The Club wants to do a Pythona figure for the subscription service but they need to know the expense for a unique sculpt and parts will be worthwhile, so if you want to see Pythona voice your desire on the message boards."

She seems to be pretty much wearing a onesie, so that should be a useful enough body:

Just bought me a FSS #2 sub from the Collector club - a few figures there I will on-sell (Tiger Force and Night Force versions), but Cesspool and the Oktober Guard characters are enough for me to justify the cost.

Managed to track down a Freestyle from JoeCon 2013, as well as a Darklon and Sgt Major 2 pack from 2012.

Pics when they arrive!

So it seems the Retaliation line has begun to sprout up in Five Below stores in the US (like our two dollar shops) going for five bucks each!!!

Made a comment on Instagram on someone's photo about the linen not even making here to Australia who then posted a pic of the bottom of the packaging...

I contacted Hasbro about this back when the Ret line was released in USA after a US collector I know shown me a similiar picture.

I was told that Hasbro AUS had decided to not offer the Retaliation line to retailers as it was not considered profitable enough to do so.

I enjoyed that movie. That explains why when I was trying to find a Retaliation Snake Eyes, he was nowhere to be found.

What does Hasbro AU call that? Retailiation maybe? Ha! (sorry)
