I'm not sure of the best place to buy them, though I see heaps of ROC figures on eBay AU.

Yo Joe's 2009 page has all the figures listed with links to pics:
http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/

They were really nice figures.

Oops! pale

I've been out of the game so long, I got the names mixed up.

Pursuit of Cobra figures are the ones I'm interested in. Embarassed

Yo Joe would still be your best bet for info & pics.

I'd be interested to know where Aussies are buying these from.

Awesome to see those packs coming, but man I just finished making my own Zandar! lol. ( dare I say I like mine better ? lol)

But its cool to see thrasher and roadpig and zanzibar, they have great character in the faces, and nice to see the new blood as well!

I'm still irked about how original names on so much of the old properties can't be used due to copyrights. It just doesn't feel right lol!

(chuckling to myself with roadpigs trusty cinderblock on a stick weapon, such a meathead weapon LOL)

Well if you end up with 3 Flagg's Screamy, think of me! Laughing

Some funky looking figures in the Joe sub. Still not sure I could afford it though. I'd be worried It would all happen around the 10th of each month, same as Mattycollector.

They showed Barrel Roll today:

Would have liked to have had dice and jinx so far, the rest are cool still

I think I heard the Officer membership is about $40?

That would be a yearly fee?

yeh something like that. But rumour of 20 per fig plus having to get a subby membership makes for a no go for me.

I think with shipping it was 80 though for international members, or something like that.

Re: GI Joe

Post by Sam on Sun Nov 20, 2011 3:06 am

Well i like the figures. But with yearly subscription for club, plus the approx 20-20 per figure, plus the overcharged shipping gi club charges ( i went to get a single figure and it was over 20 bucks almost 30 for cheapest shipping) it means each fig will work out almost 60 each , which quite frankly, aint gonna haapen for me. I wish i could get them but its too much for too little.

If it were closer to 20-25 per fig i would do it.

A pity as i was really looking forward to it! When i show off pics of my collection soon that will show how much i enjoy them

It's interesting they might cost more than MOTUC figures, but the Joe Club are probably dealing with far fewer units being produced.

They are, but its the shipping that east you. Sam: They ARE being released as pairs, and over a 6month period, so its not quite as bad as $60 a figure.

Re: GI Joe

Post by Sam on Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:54 am

I didn't know they were being done as pairs actually, thanks for the info Craig. I'm thinking that they will still be near the $50, when you think about whats required. I'll just nut it out below....

Membership just to be able to order them.
Foreign/Other Air Mail G.I. Joe Collectors' Club -(12" or 3.75" to be announced) (figure ships late spring 2012) $88.00 (US) per year for 12 issues

Shipping costs for 2 x 3 3/4" figures as per the online shop:
FedEx International Priority - $76.01
FedEx International Economy - $72.83
Post Office Express Mail International - $38.50

Cost per figure approx $20-25 each.

So if we break it back to per 2 pack release:
$88 / 12 mth = $7.33 a month subscription cost
shipping per month for 2 figs $38
cost for 2 figures $50

total for 2 figures shipped per month = $95 a pair, or roughly $48 a single.

( i did the above for my own benefit as well as others who are interested in what it will be costing overall! )

So, when I look at my Motuc figures, and then at the star wars figures even, its kinda pi$$Ing me off that it would cost that much for figures.

Dead set, I would love to have Boa, Dice, and Jinx, and the rest would be icing on the cake, but not for that sort of money.

I personally dont want to join the club and get the magazine either, so its a bit annoying that its not optional.

So, I shall have to live vicariously through you guys when you put pics up on here! lol.

Re: GI Joe

Post by Sam on Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:16 am

USA version * if shipped to friend in USA*

Officer membership 3rd class shipping type 12 mth subscription $42total, $3.50 mth
2 figures postage Post Office Domestic First Class Mail - $3.56
per figure $25

so roughly 60bucks for 2 figures, I can get it shipped with other stuff I import, and if done loose then should be bugger all...

THIS might be the way I can justify it !!

...fingers crossed....
