Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
Message went missing so I just retype. Just saying cant we just give hasbro a break and support some toy line? How will the local toy sellers gonna want to bring these in if people are just never happy or interested?
Way undersized? Sooo tiny? HOW MUCH are you willing to buy? How much are those MOTU im comparison? Is it just cool to MEH? I am just glad it got made and I dont have anybody picking them up in the states for me.
Everytime when we about to see something new(or maybe not), we have a bunch of people just love pouring icy cold water straight down from head to toe.
It's nice to have negative feedback to balance things up. However I would hate to see us in Australia keep missing out of stuff because of lack of interest and have to get them off ebay everytime.

Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
The crux of it for me is that I don't want to spend for things that aren't worth it. I liked HML3 and I'm glad I picked the series up, I'd like to have a FFF but from what I've seen of the accompanying figures I can't justify the purchase. I may pick up one or two of the line, but the rest just don't look that good. I am looking forward to HML4 though...

Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
One thing Hasbro is doing right - for me anyway - is their character selection, i.e. a good mix of A, B and C listers. In regards to supporting the line(s), most collectors do it's just a case of Hasbro not wanting to take our money half of the time - crappy distribution or store exclusives.
I'll definitely slap the money down for this wave - gotta have Foom, Wendigo, Absorbing Man and Doc Samson.

Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
Bugs its not even like that, I dont care what something costs at all, I care about the level of accuracy and the fact of its size compared to my collection and it fitting in with previous lines.
If I didnt have someone in the states Id still just ship it in to Australia, ask people who know me, if theres something I want and it looks right I'll fork for it.
My weekly budget for crap (ie toys, magazines, cds, dvds sneakers etc) is around the $400 mark, so its got nothing to with cost, its just that my guy over there bought the ones out for foom only, and has looked at the figures and states they suck bad - so to let me know if I still want to go through the headache of shipping them in.
As for spending money on quality product - I just forked $1500 USD for a pair of nikes that I had to have for my collection, why cos I know the qualities good, its what I expect and want and theyll make me giddy when there in my shoe wardrobe, even though I'll never wear em.... I just like what I like and dont what I dont, thats my right to agree to disagree I thought.
But I guess I was right to stay away from this board for the last month - some things never change on aussie sites.
Thats it for me.

Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
While it seems like I was targeting you Fieldy, I wasn’t. Was just hearing these kinda meh statement too much to want to say something.
As you now response directly to me, I will try to put it as politely as I can. Perhaps I need to rephrase the How much question. I was merely saying for $25(if that is correct for Hasbro legends), expecting a BAF of 18cm is what they can push for. I reckon it wasn’t bad. We are already complaining about legends price tag is way higher than Toybiz used to have. I don’t recall those MOTU statues come in packed BAF or articulation nowadays and how much are they?
As for someone in the states, that was just a statement to say I don’t have someone in the state to pick them up. So I either wait for them to be in aussie, miss them or ebay.
Now when you are throwing in the money talk, what I can say. Good on you that you have quite a big budget for crap. I don’t and I don’t think I am the poorest guy on this board nor the richest. While you can afford quality, I perhaps cant all the time. So if they gonna bring out a $400 price mark foom with quality articulation and paint, you wont even have to blink but I would have to pass it up perhaps. Not that I don’t care for quality. I am glad it got made and would support it.
As for the last statement, I am not sure what to response as I barely post and perhaps this is the one statement made in a long time. You am blaming the entire aussie or aussie site? Come on mate how old are you?

Ditto I sometimes wonder if I've skipped one too many posts. As far as local retailers stocking the upcoming ML lines TheGoodDr would probably have a better idea - I know the next batch are outlet exclusives Wal Mart, Target etc. so I'm not liking our chances.

Isn't FFF spread over 2 waves? Can't see why it can't be bigger.
That Punisher looks freakin awesome! May actually have to hunt that one down.

FFF is to small and the figures sux ,i already have toy biz hulks so i dont need any more colour molded, amauture sculpts with articulation that makes no sence. The FFF sculpt is actually quite good it just needed to be upzized 5 inches! mayb wendigo to if hes the same height as ML 12 sassy.

These guys look pretty big.

I'm kinda happy FFF isn't too huge as I've got SFA space left on my shelves - I blame TheGoodDr and his Premium Format goods.

Wendigo, Doc Samson and Absorbing Man are on my hit list. Not sure whether to grab both waves or just eBay the characters I want (inc additional BAF parts) since I'm not that interested in the different Hulks.

Where did you read that? I know that the other waves, e.g. Red Hulk, 2-packs etc., will be store exclusives but I didn't think that would be the case for HML4. *sigh* I may as well pack my ML stuff up and move across to DCUC if Hasbro continue with store exclusives.

Re: New Marvel Legends Revealed at NYCC.
Yeah, it is an exclusive.
Has anyone heard any word on the possibility of the Hulk Foom series being released here? I like them enough, just wish there weren't so many Hulk figures. It's a crying shame that Valkyrie wasn't released.

Here's a link to a Hasbro ML QnA. Looks like we'll see a few waves all coming out in a short space of same time as like last year. Good news is they're planning to debut a new BAF wave at Comicon.
