Barton is deadly etc with and without weapons in the standard 616 universe but is more like Bullseye in the Ultimate-verse. Last I read the Ultimate version received augmentations to improve his sight. I'm assuming that the movie version will be using a number of different weapons and moves like BW.

As for the promotional poster, /Flim.com has images of the teaser posters for Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man - http://www.slashfilm.com/avengers-amazing-spiderman-promotional-teaser-posters/

it will be great to see hulk as a semi-functional member of society (hopefully) instead of him just smashing things just to get away

Not a bad promo poster, although it's not the composition I would have chosen, especially as Hawkeye, Black Widow and Captain America cannot "fly", yet they're "higher" than Iron Man who is in mid-flight.

At least the nudist Hulk could just be in the middle of one of his giant leaps.

And I still wish we were seeing Ant-Man and Wasp instead of Hawkeye and Black Widow. Hawkeye may be a cool addition (it was difficult to tell from his "cameo" in Thor), but Scar-Ho was terrible in Iron Man 2 and I'm not expecting much more from the actress or the character in The Avengers (although I would be happy to be proven wrong).

Cheers.

Very nice. All the posters look great.

I don't know how The Avengers could possibly live up to my sky-high expectations. I need some sort of negative buzz to start being generated around this movie, otherwise I'll be expecting perfection from Whedon and Co. Well, as much perfection as possible given Ant-Man and Wasp aren't part of the film even though they're founding members of The Avengers!

Cheers.

Alt. link:

The only thing missing to me, is that it doesn't at all deal with the #1 thing they should be hyping, and that's that it's got FREAKING IRON MAN, THOR, HULK, & CAPTAIN AMERICA IN THE SAME FILM!

Sure, you see some of them interacting, but that's barely scraping the tip of the iceberg of potential. They should be BLASTING each of the 4 franchise characters' titles on the screen.

This is a huge cinematic event (and not just for comics films), so sell it like it's one. tongue

This is Marvel's chance to do something major and hugely different but sadly I see it going down the same distinct road as every other Marvel film beforehand. It shouldn't be about the individuals at all. Call me crazy but the Avengers are a team are they not? I didn't feel anything but the chance to shoe horn each hero into a film with equal screen time. Even the Nine Inch Nails track, "We're in this together" in the background didn't do it for me. Sorry... It just feels like I know the plot just from the trailer. A terrible enemy decends on the earth and it's up to Nick Fury to recruit the world's greatest superheroes in a team as the earth's last form of defense. Each one is a little kooky and some don't get along with each other but in the end they learn to accept and love one another and band together to save the earth. Great. Well done Marvel. After seeing the trailer don't you wish it was Ed Norton's Bruce Banner having that conversation with Tony Stark? I just want it to be more about having each others back, maybe a little desperation in their actions, go a little further to "avenge" the earth from whatever "threat" they have in store for us. I want to see them go that extra mile... I mean this is meant to be an event movie that everything preceding it leads up to... Sadly it feels like I have already seen it. Obviously this is a tentpole demographic movie aimed at every living human on earth with eyes in their head... just when are the powers that be going to realize their audience isn't that stupid and they deserve a little more? Then again what the hell do I know... It might just be the next Citizen Kane.
