My Marvel Legends Abomination is dead.

Post by Shadowless on Wed Dec 29, 2010 8:54 am

I was going through some of my boxes of toys today in the never ending task of making more room for them, when I happened upon my ML Abomination. The shoulder and hip joints had become stiff, so I put it in the freezer as I do with all stiff jointed figures, but it was no use. The damage was done. Pop Pop. Both shoulders broken. Crying or Very sad

No biggy I guess. I will use the rest of him as a custom gargoyle, but I still feel pretty miffed about it.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a common problem with the ML Abomination. If it is, Iím thinking of buying a Marvel Select one instead to replace it. Any thoughts on the matter?

I dunno. I remember the plastic being a harder type compared to a lot of other figures. Maybe it became brittle in the freezer?

Probably better off with boiling water to loosen joints.

I think the ML version has more articulation while the MS version is larger in scale. I think I got a spare ML Abomination (variant version). More than happy to send it your way.

Thanks for offering Bolo, but I might get that M select one instead. I dunno. I seem to remember now my ML Abomination was stiff from the get go. I always open my figures. Maybe they are all stiff. It was a shame. It was a nice figure.

I have both and the select version is much more imposing, weighs a ton too!
