The Fwooshcast: An Action figure Podcast!

G'day all!

So with Samurons help and support, Artistix and I have started a podcast (U may recall I mentioned wanting to do one a few months ago). We're still a little rough around the edges, but I think we're getting there quite nicely! the First 3 episodes are very news heavy (And are starting to date already) but from Episode 4 onwards we'll be trying to make ourselves a little more relevant to fans.

I'm certainly open to suggestions and ideas on how to improve, so email, PM or leave me some ideas here.

i don't know how many of u are podcast guys, but PLEASE give our little show a chance!

I've only listened to the first one so far, I liked it...it was kinda weird matching voices to the screen names if that makes sense?

I will try and listen to the rest over the next couple of days as my holidays have just started.

Nabbed the first four ... well 3 and a 1/2. Is there anyway to subscribe to the podcasts rather than manually download them? Not a huge issue if you can't at this point in time.

As for listening, I've listened to the first half of Episode 1 - think I got up to the MU and Dr Who figures section.

great work guys! i tend to lean more towards the video news / review side of things so this is new to me (just listened to the first one while mowing my way through some new WoW content!) let me know if you need a hand sorting out an xml file so subscribers can add it to itunes / juice whatever so they can get regular updates automatically, it's pretty straight forward

Yeah i have no idea how to add it to Itunes or set up an RSS thing. if u can help us out with that dude, just tell me what u need from me!

I'd love to support/give feedback, but I've been doing 16+ hour days all week.

Listened to the first 2 and 1/2 episodes while walking the pooch. Nothing to really complain about. My advice/suggestions:

* I apologise if the feature is already available, but it may be worthwhile mentioning that listeners should check the original episode post for referenced sites etc.

* I really like that you guys discuss and give your thoughts on particular lines. When you've got email sorted out, then maybe getting quick feedback from subscribers may be good. I suppose a Comments section on the original episode post could provide that - again apologies if the feature is already available.

I've really enjoyed the first batch of episodes. I love the B and C-listers so I had a chuckle when you mentioned it TSM.

You CAN leave comments on the site, and i am talking to Fwoosh about getting a show email address for feedback also.

We SHOULD start doing show notes. I may make a 'Useful Links" section on the site.

For those who want to help: We're goign to be talking toys of the year and the like soon. Maybe Ill get that email set up sooner rather than later....

I have listened to all five and they have improved greatly.
Episode 5 was great and I agree that the AT AT was the toy of the year!

I liked the Gi Joe episode as eventhough I'm not that big of a fan of the line, I enjoyed your enthusiasm and love hearing tales of childhood toys.

I will say that maybe 1 episode is enough when profiling as ep 4 pt2 dragged it out a bit.

I like the news personally and enjoy hearing what you guys have received.
Perhaps during the show mention some links to go along with it as not everyone will be as forum savvy (like where people could see pics of your collections if they are on a forum etc)


Anyways, keep up the awesome work and ill be recommending this show to friends!!!

If you check the website, there are links to our collections on our profile pages. Mine needs an update, but I'm waiting for some Joes to arrive, and then I'll get some updated snaps

Yeah I doubt most spotlights will be as long as the GI Joe one. Maybe the Star Wars one if we do it but very few things are as vast as the Joe line is.
