Star Wars Mighty Mugggs

Post by Grimr on Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:16 pm

Might be old news but seems like SW Mighty Muggs series 2 have hit TRUs and Kmarts. However in both TRU and Kmart the prices did not scan and the "please see a manager" message came up....didn't bother as already had them all...but Mace Windu keeps insisting I get another one of him.

I grabbed 2 from a local specialty store listed at the price of 12.50 each.

So if anyone knows the price please please aid an impatient Grimr in need.

I think the peg at my local TRU had them listed as $19.99.

I've never seen these guys in real life! I really shouldn't buy any. I think I'll just buy clones. When Cody comes out eventually I'll grab him. Don't want to start collecting another line at all!
That said, I guess I could just grab the ones I like.

there will also be EXCLUSIVE might muggs so be careful about trying to collect all the clones in this line.

Damn! It's just like all the exclusive GG clone Mini-Busts!
And the Koto exclusives/variations!

I'm a ROTS clone-only collector but I'm not too irritated if I can't get them all as there are loads and loads of them in all shapes!
I've already refused to buy all the Galactic Heroes. I've got only one GH clone and it's staying with the rest of the GH's I've got.

That said, I saw a pic of the Commander Gree Might Mugg and he looks pretty darn cool. I'd have him over Cody but both if I can wangle it Wink

I think you mean Hasbro box....as Funtastic don't have either the Star Was nor Marvel License.

maybe they'd just placed them in that box for better storage. they could have only packed say 4 in a hasbro box but could fit 10 or so in a funtastic box? it's a possibility. who knows?! Very Happy

I know the wise toy guys here will wince when I say this...but I would not be surprised in Hasbro have Funtastic bringing these in themselves...like I said...I am prepared for the lecture of why not Smile

Would one license holder let another import and distribute their product for free?
maybe if Funtastic paid Hasbro the local license to distribute each product lien and wave.
either way it would make stupid business sense. More likely a repack by the store in question.

Lecture noted Wink Very Happy

I would expect the shelf price might be cheaper if Funtastic bought them in...assuming these retail at 19.99 each.

I think Funtastic is a mere shadow of its former self these days.
Look at how poorly distributed the Dr Who line was in 2006-7.

They seem to be focused on the little kiddies and Wrestling figure now. Damn Shame.

I finally got a look at these in person on Friday.
Saw Mace, Obi-Wan, C-3PO and a few others I can't remember. Not too shabby but wasn't interested in shelling out for one just for the hell of it. Think I'll stick to the Clones I can get my hands on.
That said I didn't see Maul so I may have to grab him too...

wow that's pretty crazy. I mean, I found them at my local Kmart and that place is a hole.
That said, I think they get more toys through than my local Big W.

Shadow? The kiddy stuff and wrestlers are...to my knowledge....the money makers, at least on the distribution rights they have here now.

Also was there any stronger info on the idea of Hasbro toyshop Australia that can be shared??

Well that would explain why the planets are orbiting us then....

I'm hanging out for both the SW and Marvel MM, but I just saw the Indiana Jones one..... And as I will limit myself to one piece of IJ merchandise, I think I just found it.....
