Where are the Tron Legacy Action Figures?

Post by Shadowless on Mon Dec 06, 2010 10:03 pm

Man those 8” figures look sweet, but I thought we’d have them by now. Maybe we aren’t getting them in Australia. Does anyone know for sure?

I'm sure they'll be stinking up the pegs long after the movie has been released.

Who is making these things anyhow? I'd have expected to see something on the shelves by now given the film starts next week....??

They made by Spin Masters, which is a name you don't see too often with Action Figures.

(It been a long while but arn't Spin Masters in bed with Moose Enterprises in Australia?)

Apparently, Funtastic will be distributing them to toy r us as an exclusive. As an ex employee, my contact on the inside has advised of this.
When i did work there i saw some samples in person. They were not that bad with the special lighting effects they have.

Seems like it's not just toy r us. I saw the Tron 7 inch with talking and light up figures at BIGW. They also had the car and the lightcycles. No 4 inch figures yet.

BTW Tron legacy was quite a good film.

Saw the remnants of Tron toys today at Big W (had one disc device left) and quite a good selection at K-mart (had several discs and the 7 inch figures and the light cycle) both at Garden City Brisbane

Are the figures any good? I saw the film on Friday night and looooved it. I'd like to have a few if they look alright. And what's the lightcycle like?

Grabbed the buggy for my boy for Xmas, seems pretty cool. I was a bit underwhelmed by the light cycles I saw though.

Flynn's cycle looks kinda neat.

I haven't seen a single actual figure yet though. :/

The figures are pretty cool, they have this light up video feature inside their helmets which displays the characters face saying a few phrases, it is really amazing

The lightcycle I saw was for a smaller scale I think, it looked pretty cheap looking :S

Saw them in Big W. Didn't get a good look. Might go back & check them out.
