Kotobukiya Bounty Hunters!

Post by TheSweetestThing on Tue Apr 15, 2008 4:28 pm

UCK I am suddenly very jealous of this display as I know you'll have the lot soon!
How gorgeous!

Really loving Bossk, didn't like him as much in the image Casefresh has up but still loving Boba.

they all look really nice, my on beef would be it looks rather cluttered for a collection of pieces that are supposed to come together.

anyone else with me on this?

I don't see the need for Vader to be involved - sure there was that scene in ESB, but that's about it. If you got rid of Vader, then IMO it wouldn't look so cluttered.

How much is the entire set?

They're $145 each if you buy from Casefresh without pre-ordering ($130 otherwise - though Boba is already out).

If we're going for the "Vader shouldn't be in it because he was only a part of t for 2 seconds" they shouldn't be together at all. All of them stepping foot in the same room together is as likely as Vader hiring even one bounty hunter in my opinion.

I believe it would look less cluttered from a different angle.

For me I think the thing that throws it off is Boba's "I'm just landing....but still shooting" pose....the rest are all in poses worthy of a basckstreet boys cd cover.....6 still guys vs 1 moving guy....finish quality looks great

Yeah that's true.
I'm hoping to pick up Boba eventually, I think he'll look great on his own and so much better than the original Koto release.

Wow, that's me priced out! Are these the same height as the other Koto SW items?

To be honest I have no idea. I'd look it up but websense blocks the US Koto website (apparently it's a "game").
I'm led to believe they're the same height. Worth the price for Boba but some of the others aren't popular enough to sell I reckon.

Pretty much bet you will be able to buy 4-Lom and Zuckuss for $60~ in the future as no one will buy.
Dengar could go either way, same with IG-88.
Bossk will probably sell better and my bets are on Boba selling fast.

Good to see how Dengar will look, i agree on waiting it out as i think a few of these will drop in price but i will deffinetly be getting them all either at full price or cheaply.

I'm quite impressed with them really, I just don't like some of the bounty hunters anyway - not my cup of tea. Dengar is really nice though, for a hunter I don't like much.

Boba is a nice piece for sure, but yeah, he is sorta outta place when combined with the set....almost like he's tip-toeing through the tulips.....
Dengar is by far the coolest in this set I love you

Nice bunch of figures - I've been a fan of these guys ever since reading the bounty hunter book years ago. And yeah, Dengar is cool :-)

Everyone is returning to the fold again, tis like home again.

Any body pick up the mcquarrie Koto set? I been eyeing it off for the last month - but not sure to get it to add to the Koto collection or buckle and collect the MOTU statues?

Really want to add more clonage but have been drooling over trap jaw for some time now.... Decisions - decisions.

I know, I know DBF, but I know if I start on the Motu statues, its going to be self suicide, as I would get them from Casefresh, but not sure of getting them from O/s as per breakage, and I would have to get Skeletor, but cant justify $600 - $800 on a statue.

Plus theres Grayskulls door that would be a must have, I have OCD remember, then I would get onto the busts, and more sleepless nights trolling to find what I need.

Man I hate picking things up late, had the opportunities to get them as they came out but held back, now kicking myself.

Guess I could sell one of my Custom baby Harleys = $1000, and buckle and get Skely.....

I know - I should but Im seriously running out of space, and with the new designs for my new house already finished by my Dad (Architect), I doubt I can push for more display space than I just squeezed in now.

May get one or two,,,,,, then get the odd one after that. Hey who the hell am I kidding.
