Got my robotos the other day (2), one of them was original and the other wasn't heh. Ended up opening the "non-original" as it had better paint apps. Awesome figure, I really love the action feature!

I'll probably be ordering for myself, Bolo - since you're a Perth resident, I could order for both of us, and pass on your stuff when it arrives?

If you're able, and more importantly don't mind, then yeah a Grayskull and Grizzlor would be perfect. Not too bothered if either are unavailable as I'm happy to wait for reissues. Hit me up on PM or via the Book of Faces if you need contact details etc.

Soooo what time do we have to get up over this side of the country again DBF? =-)

If i wake up randomly i might be able to score a grayskull, but if you end up with an extra i'll definatly take it anyways so i have a guaranteed figure =-)

Ahhh, good idea. Argh, I used to be able to get through without too much difficulty, just a couple of months ago, when I was ordering for three people, two of whom are in the US and never ever got through. How the tables have turned!

Re: MOTU Classics: The Thread - Part 3

Post by DroothR on Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:14 pm

Here’s my November sale day journey.

Alarm goes off at 03:40am (20 minutes before sale). Alarm wont turn off for some reason. After mashing the “Stop Alarm” button for 20 seconds continuously, it stops. Not the best way to start Matty sale day. pale

5 minutes before sale, WSoD for my wanted items on Firefox, no WSoD on IE, but the pages constantly refresh.

2 minutes into sale, and I can add items to cart in IE windows. I do so, and go straight to shopping cart, but the cart page keep refreshing, so I can’t enter in my details.

Internet connection dies. Shocked

5 minutes into sale, internet connection restored, and refreshing cart page in IE turns into WSoD, but FF windows require manual refresh.

8 minutes into sale, WSoD stop on Firefox windows. Items added, now get WSoD for cart page.

18 minutes into sale, still waiting on WSoD on my shopping cart pages in both IE & FF.

20 minutes into sale, Firefox cart page in FF appears, I log-in, and go back to WSoD. WSoD stops on cart page in IE, but they keep refreshing every 3 seconds, so I can’t enter shipping details! Shake Fist

27 minutes into sale, logged-in cart page comes back in FF window, I enter payment & shipping info, and complete order. Confirmation email received. Very Happy

40 minutes into sale, IE cart page is STILL refreshing less than every 5 seconds. Neutral

I woke up accidently at 4.20, I had the laptop on at the right page, managed to snag Grizzlor and 2 Grayskulls (I'll have an extra if someone needs as DBF was nabbing one for me as well) and 2 weapons packs just for giggles, but that was after 15 minutes of various WSOD's.

I notice that as for 8am grayskull and weapons are still available, grizzlor sold out though!

LOL Jor, 4 venkmans LMAO good on ya.

I do like the single screen of things on sale and just enter quantities, but stupid me didn't notice it till i had done 2 separate orders, one for grayskull, 2nd for grizzlor /weapons pack. So paid more shipping than i needed to!

Post by Dabigfella on Tue Nov 16, 2010 6:57 am

Yeah mate, he's yours if you want him, also Sam I didn't particularly grab you a Grayskull, but I always end up with spares, so I'm happy if you don't wanna grab mine...

Honestly guys, I never have more than one window open during the sale, that might be the issue, I only have IE and one window, I never manually refresh, worst wsod I've had was 15 mins, last night was about 4 mins.....

Maybe you just have a good connection. The multiple windows works for me, so I'll continue with the tactic.

I use multiple windows. Yesterday the original window was the fastest (the first time ever) ordering was okay... took 12 minutes. Really happy to get a couple of KG's.

hope you guys got what you were after (or will soon after trades)

I find it amazingly ironic that the WSOD/RSOD was deployed to help with the server load and stop people from refreshing the page and thousands of people are opening the site in multiple browsers at once to get around it, and then contributing to the server load more lol if only they would upgrade their server!

Vikor moved to January, Bow moved to febuary...

MOTUC fans,

Quick update for everyone on the 2011 Vikor figure. Bow was running a little late and Vikor was actually running early so we swaped them in the schedule. Look for Vikor as the Club Eternia figure on Jan 18th and Bow on Feb 15th.

Yeah, I expect we'll see Demo-Man as leader of the 'Fighting Foe Men' at some point too. And personally that repaint Mer-Man and the red Beast Man (if/when he happens) I'll be using as ancestors of regular Mer-Man and Beast Man as well, hanging out with Demo-Man as part of his forces. They could also make the fan-demanded Blonde Teela as an ally of Vikor as well, if they so chose.

Anyone getting the art prints?

Too rich for my blood at $80, particularly as I don't really like any of them that much (they just seem very 'fan art' to me, and not even particularly good fan-art...) but I'm sure they'll sell out quickly all the same, even at that price. Which is a good thing if it keeps encouraging Matty to expand into more items like this. And I'm still waiting and hoping on a collected (preferably hardback) book featuring all of the original minicomics...

link to matty art print page

Now if they started selling original box art prints or Ed Norem prints then we'd be talking...

Yeah they're not great......Udon a year or two ago put out for submissions for a Streetfighter & Darkstalkers fan art and published 2 great books of art, this would easily work for MOTU......or print/paint new versions of those character battle posters they'd sell like hot cakes.....which apparently sell well so I'm told
