January is going to suck. Especially without the sub (didn't bother). Razz

Can't believe they're releasing so much stuff then and letting Dec/Feb have stuff all.

Yeah they really should have bumped either the Guards or the Shadow Beastto febuary if you ask me, particularly as lots of folks will be tempted to army build with both those releases, not to mention folks wanting to buy multiple stands, the fact that it's only a couple of weeks after xmas, and so on...

@ Sam

I *think* they have said that the April figure would be a male Master of the Universe (which in the new canon, means one of the good guys).

Unless I'm getting mixed up with the next NA figure which I think they have also said would be a male Galactic Protector/Guardian (or whatever the goodies are called in NA).

I'm just interested in who the female figure in May 2011 will be. I think the fans will be majorly peeved if Faceless One loses his slot to a girl, so I'm guessing it will be an A-List Variant and a 200X Evil-Lynn makes perfect sense to be released in the same month as her father.

Cheers.

I think people will be OK with Faceless One moving back a month or so.

I'm just glad they've got another woman lined up.

I'd be fine with 200x Lyn. Though I'd prefer Catra, Sorceress or Marlena.

I'd definitely prefer Catra or The Sorceress to 200X Evil-Lynn.

I guess it will just be a cast of "wait and see". It sounds like we'll see the April figure before we hear any more information about the May figure/s.

Cheers.

Post by Sledge Hammer! on Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:49 pm

I've got a funny feeling that April will be Mekaneck...but I base that on absolutely nothing at all, and am probably completely wrong. Laughing

I guess the 200X Evil Lynn would make sense to hit in the same month as Faceless One, but with the re-issue EL hitting in January I don't know if that makes it more or less likely to be honest... Would they want to have two Evil Lynn's for sale on the site so close together (and within a year or so of the original release to boot)? Perhaps not. But then on the other hand would the classic Evil Lynn sell as well if it was re-issued after a 200X one had already been released? Probably not. So maybe they are rushing the classic Evil Lynn re-issue for that very reason, to get it done with in time for a 200X variant release...

I don't really remember the Shadow Beasts so I might give them a miss. What's the deal with the Palace Guards, is it a perfect two-pack or did I need to buy another one to display all available heads?

True that! And the shadow beasts have been moved to feb, phew!
And on a side note Mattel scored the back to the future license so bttfc looks a goer!

So we have Grayskull & Weapons Pack 2 this month.

Grayskull is a definate for me. Love the look of the furry red cape.

Weapons Pack is a no go. I'd only really need the Perch.

That is cool news about BTTF, though it will be interesting to see how Mattel go. MOTUC & Ghostbusters rely heavily on re-use...that will be difficult with BTTF.

I would say bttf would far easier to do repeat figs than gb, there are 3 different era figs for the main characters with 2 different versions of the 1955 Marty. I'm hanging to see how the wild west figs turn out!

Everything other than the cape looks better on the new Grayskull, looking forward to grabbing one (hopefully).

Who runs into battle wearing an S&M leather harness, furry briefs and equally furry knee-high boots? I'm not sure He-Man puts a lot of thought into what he is wearing or carrying into battle.

Maybe the villains of Eternia are afraid of vulgar colours?

Cheers.
