Too bad the 'all in sub' never actually turns out to be an all in sub. Sure, the guards slipped dates, so you can let that one slide, and the stands are one of those items that people want to be able to choose whether to buy, and if so, how many, so that one too. But things like weapons packs, the weapons rack, and the vehicle that is to be released this year should all have been part of the 'all in' in my opinion, as should whatever the web version of this year's con exclusive turns out to be.

If you are going to have a sub that doesn't cover everything then make a tiered subscriber system where people can choose which category of items they wish to subscribe to (monthly figures, quarterly 'bonus' figures, quarterly large scale items, weapons packs and small scale accessories, vehicles, monthly re-releases), let people tick each category they want to go all in on when they subscribe for their sub, and bam, done. Easy peasy, and gives all levels of fans plenty of options to choose by, while mattel still gets accurate numbers to help them judge just how many of each product type to make. And for any company that isn't Digital River, such an order system is dead easy to implement and follow.

But alas such things are just too hard for Matty and Digital River apparently, and ease of ordering and customer choice and satisfaction are clearly pretty low of their list of things they give a damn about.

Sy-klone packaged and bio:

SY-KLONE
Real Name: Sy-Klone, son of Dy-Lex

Protector of the Legacy Stones and the Last Defender of Anwat Gar, Sy-Klone joined the Masters of the Universe after the Stones were destroyed and his mission completed. He wears the last remaining TECH vest armor created by his Gar ancestors to terrorize Eternia after the Great Wars. Its built-in wind rockets allow the user to create powerful vortexes of spinning energy as a defensive weapon or to fly through the air. Sy-Klone has upgraded his armor to also include cosmic radar which lets him sense the physical presence of evil long before others. Sy-Klone’s wind powers and radar chest make him combat-ready!

Um, yeah...the writing and names aren't getting any better. Dy-Lex? Is he the brother of Ro-Lex? Laughing

I just checked out a couple of the 200x episodes with Sy-Klone on Youtube. He was a pretty cool character in that series.

Looking forward to this figure now.

I'm still a bit iffy on the benefits of a chest radar going *ping* everytime Skeletor goes to the loo, and the ability to blow stuff around a bit... but I do like the figure. Smile

If you thought mobile phones ringing all the time can be annoying, imagine having a chest radar for detecting evil in Eternia...no woder Sy-Klone was living in exile. Laughing

Now that's a thought. Those phone attachments that light up on mobiles, perhaps sy klone has his mobile attached as well.

Sy klone : 'blip blip, blip blip'
He man : ' ah, skeletor must be up to his evil shenanigans'
Sy klone : ' ah sorry bro, Ive gotta take this' *pulls out his mobile with a 'we love sorceress' trinket hanging from it'

hehehe

Damn that is a lot of guards. And they look really good on the stands, too.

I'm going to try converting a sick Grizzlor into a more cat-like guard... the armour fits nicely, once he's furless.

Jor-El is dubious... probably cos I turned another guard into a B-side Mer-man with the dark gold fishy armour.

I wonder if they'll ever see army builders for some of the other factions... (I know everyone is fingers crossed for Horde, but I'd take some armybuilder snakes, lizards, bees, spiders, daft jet propelled birdmen...)

Blue Merman is pretty funky lookin. But I think I can live without him.

Seeing as how we have Hordak, Grizzlor & Catra it would be awesome to see some robot Horde Troopers.

If you want to see an epiosde of PoP that will make it difficult to look at Horde Troopers the same way again, go to Youtube & type in 'She-Ra Flowers for Hordak'

Ahh cool! Great to see the guards busting out.

Didn't you get like 15 packs or something?

Funky blue Merman oozes awesomeness! He was a must get for me * he also oozes other less inviting things, but we wont go there shall we ! *

Buzz off is awesome agreed! I have his little hatchet on one of his back mini legs as a spare weapon, but he wields his staff for display.

Was just moving the display onto the bigger shelf, considering that the line is gonna need a lot of room, and the one it was on was getting crowded !

lol yeh, btu admittedly the DC stuff is pretty cool, but guess which ones ended up in the toy bin until i have more room for displays ! hehe.

Mind you, I AM disappointed that Stratos really CANT fly... several times I have given him to opportunity to take flight as he plummeted from the top of Grayskull, but never have I been impressed.

At least he came away unscathed though! DURABLE is the key word ! lol.

Next time u are canberra swing by and see if you want that Prince Adam or not as well, if you had an evil lyn or Mossman MOC I can trade and pay for would be awesome, LMK =-)

Is it just me or is it a real trial to get figures with capes out of their packages? I just got my vikor as well, and I have to tear the plastic apart to get the darn thing out !!

But agreed, very cool figure, and those new feet make the sculpt better for sure!

Got my Vikor today too, and the QC looks good, although it kinda looks like the necklace and cape on mine are misassembled.

Hard to tell for sure without opening, but the skull (which should be in the center of the necklace) is sitting over his left shoulder. silent

Gevaudin wrote:I think I cut the plastic right up to the cape on my last one. :/

Yeah, I always cut the plastic.

The only part of the packaging I keep is the cardback.
I'm still trying to decide if I want to cut out the bio's & just keep them, or keep the whole carback.

Hmmmmm.
