Wow... got the Palace Guards but Vikor sold out in 4 minutes (maybe less). How did that happen?

I have to say, as skeptical as I was about CAPTCHA making things faster, ordering this time was faster than ever, and that's WITH a (seemingly) record amount of people all ordering VIkor out at the same time.

So props to Matty on CAPTCHA, I guess.

Although if 2010 is anything to go by, I guess we can expect the Sub figures up to May to all sell out just as quickly as Vikor, until Matty can up the production (again) come June. tongue

Still glad I didn't get the sub. I'll see how it goes. Main priority is Panthor. If I miss out, oh well. I waited for Battle Cat re-release so I can wait for anything. Razz

Next few days will be interesting.

It was a mixed feeling from me on that, as the site loaded relatively quick and was able to load into cart, but that next page that you are meant to log in with, but keeps refreshing every second, is too quick for me to type in my details !! I was worried that it would stay in cart limbo cuz of the damn refresh on that screen!

after a couple of minutes i just hit log in without typeing anything, and then it seemed the page 'paused' and i was able to type and log in.

Missed out on vikor though, but have him a sub, so at least I have my 'opener', will just need to get a 'MOC' at some stage.

and 15!!!???!! holy crapolas batman!! lol. I know ur collection will be secure with that many guards =-)

Here's a tip: Log in BEFORE the sale, to skip that step altogether while ordering.

Just go to your Order History page beforehand, and you'll get a log-in screen, which will keep you logged in when the sale starts.

Dabigfella wrote:So did you miss Vikor Jor?

Nope. He sold out while he was in my cart. I was only ordering one for Gevaudin. I didn't want him for myself.

Apparently Matty has posted on Facebook that they didn't get their full Vikor shipment. Personally, they should just announce that beforehand and push the sale date back. In fact, they should have a pre-order, rather than subscription process, where you can pre-order however many months ahead, pay then and there, and get it's ready. But that's another argument. Razz

Anyway, even if it is like this every month, still happy I didn't get the sub. Smile

I got in at 4:03am, added Vikor to my cart with the Palace Guards and he'd sold out by the time I got to check out. I still went ahead with my Palace Guards order, which presented a weird error after I'd confirmed the order, so I waited 5 mins to see if I'd get a confirmtation email, which I didn't, so I ordered again. This time, no problem!

This morning, I awake to two confirmation emails Razz No doubt I'll have NO PROBLEM using Matty's supreme customer service to cancel the additional order Rolling Eyes

Anyone with Vikor extras or got an unwanted one in a sub, please PM me?

I just looked and was surprised to see that the Palace Guards are still in stock, but I'll take him up on his offer and buy a set off DBF instead, as looks like he'll have plenty of spares, and I have a package coming from him anyhow...

Hey Shocka... let me check with Gevaudin... he may want the extra Palace Guards if you get 2 sets.

I think I may be able to get the order cancelled - but if Gevaudin is still after some, they're actually still available on Matty right now, at 5:15pm the next day...

I guess the way that Matty usually tends to over-react to such non-instant sellouts this means that we can expect to see the Horde Trooper single carded when it hits...

gee whizz, so my early morning wakeup was not necessary eh?

I normally do log on, I actually had logged on several hours earlier and thought i might have been lucky, but it had booted me out. Im wondering if my above technique will work in the future in case it happens again.

I would have thought, money permitting, 3 packs are a must! one regular face, one eternian creatures, and one MIB! lol.

I was tempted to go for two sets, but I just don't have the cash for that right now. Maybe if they do a re-release down the road at some point though.

I went for 2 sets to display all 4 heads.

Don't think I'll buy any more than that since they may re-release the guards with new heads later on.

I've been Mattied! They can't cancel my duplicate order so I'm stuck with two extra sets of Palace Guards. Anyone local after these? Assuming you haven't already bought them, they're still available on the Matty Collector store Razz
