I wouldn't pay $90 to ship $6 worth of figures... just looks like sellers remorse to me. Most of his figures didn't even sell for a dollar. It's interesting to note that the postage price listed is over $20 for one figure, maybe it's just a way of avoiding fees?

It says that he will combine postage for multiple items won right on his auction listing, so he doesn't seem to have a leg to stand on...

Generally when that happens to me I find out the seller is actually in Hong Kong or somewhere.

"We are opening a store in Australia, but right now all our stock is in Hong Kong"

Then don't list it as being located in Australia butthole.

As for this matter here, yeah...this guy is trying to screw you Steve.

Arrow I had a box of figures over TWICE that size and weight sent to Melbourne from Perth, and it only cost $25.

Exclamation This seller is ripping you off BIG time.

$90 for postage WTF!!! Is this fella shipping your stuff in a ruby encrusted box or something? Not sure where this issue would be listed under eBay's not so helpful help section. Just send a generic email via the generic 'Contact Us' link.

I do advise however to make sure postage prices aren't that high for one figure next time and ask for a definite postage cost before you buy. ebay sometimes don't give a crap because you 'agreed' to the terms of the auction by bidding (and winning).

I don't agree with his bs pricing though.

Sort of agree with Sweetest.....it's total BS but you did bid on an item where he has quoted an expensive postage....so in theory you've factored that into your bid price...which is what I expect the ebay answer to be

I have been stung like this once where I won a $5 item and the seller tried to charge me $40 for shipping.
They just try to make their money without having to pay ebay's fees.
Report them for sure as its against ebay policy

I thought ebay had started limiting postage amounts to stop this sort of thing? So basically, you sell a comic book, max postage is $X.

Of course it works both ways, where it sometimes forces you to undercharge for certain areas if you haven't already boxed it up and got a concrete quote from the PO.

That being said, "Registered" Post is only a couple of dollars.
