There was a stall at the Royal Melbourne Show when I went on Sunday that was selling a variety of opened Lego Minifigures for $5 each.

None of the ones that you would consider a bargain for that price (like s1 Cheerleader or Zombie) but he was doing a roaring trade.

I went to a Brissie Lego Fan Expo over the weekend and there was much coolness to be seen (I never realised how huge the big Corellien (sp) Corvette was!)

There was HUGE excitement over the Minfigures (blind bag variety) that were on display though, kids really love these guys

Was a good display, so many things that you didn't see in the first view, I hope next year they have it in a bigger place

Has anyone seen the Haunted House around? The Vampire Castle is in Big W...but I haven't seen the House as yet.

The Haunted House? That wasn't the exclusive that the Lego Online Store was offering, was it?

Ah, I see. It is a Lego store item. Do we have a place in Oz that orders them?

I don't think so - surely it'd be cheaper to order it directly from the Lego store? I haven't investigated this myself, I don't have the room for it even though it looked amazing..

House is online only, I got a mate to grab me one in the US and ship it over, ended up costing about $240, though at the moment lego shop is doing free shipping to aus for orders over $100 so now is the time to get it

I convinced my mum to grab me the Haunted House today from Lego shop. It did still say items over $100 received free shipping, but that seems to just be for US/Canada now.

Total price - around $270 (instead of the $170 we initially thought it was)

I don't think mum was terribly impressed...I offered to put $100 towards it, but she said not to worry.

I'd better get my parents bloody awesome Christmas presents this year!! Laughing

Anyone else excited about this the TMNT Lego line that has been announced?
I plan on getting the Turtle Lair and all the minifigs if possible.
I'll post pics up of my minifig collection tomorrow as they are in storage ATM.

Wow. It's getting harder and harder to resist these.

Princess Merida from Brave. A cyclops. A Roman/Greek senator. A mermaid. Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde. Marilyn Monroe. A knight. And a ... cylon? What a great assortment.

My Monster Fighters Haunted House arrived yesterday. It is still in it's shipping box & will be till Christmas as it's a present from my folks. I should also have my LOTR sets off Lay-by by then, so I'll be building plenty of Lego in the holidays!

I've seen a few people around mention the Roller Derby Girl from the new Minifigs set. I know nothing about Roller Derby...but I'm thinking I should find out! From memory Peggy & Louanne did it in an episode of 'King of the Hill'.

There aren't any figures in the new set I don't like. All the females are awesome. Very glad to see chicken suit guy to add to that group. Judge, Ogre & good/evil man are really nice.

Saw the minifig display cases in Big W. Most of them seemed to be yellow, but I did see 1 blue one at the back.

They are bigger than I thought they would be...not sure if I'll buy some or not.

Nice! That's the only DC set of the recent superheroes sets that I need, $80 is still pretty pricey but it's still better than $100 -_- darn TRU exclusives!

Series 9 looks so awesome, that Battle Mech is to cool! Just finished collecting series 4, 6 and 8. Managed to do all three series with only one double, the sailor from series 4, who is available if anyone wants him Smile
