Having just turned 40 a couple of weeks back, it saddens me tremendously so to read someone younger than me, fitter than me and more successful than I can ever hope to be pass away after losing a battle with cancer Sad

To quote another hero lost far too soon......"The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering"

This is really sad, I had a blast with Blood and Sand & thought he stood out as a very promising, talented actor - RIP

The first episode of Spartacus: Vengeance is fantastic!

The "new" Spartacus is a little ... distracting, but I thought Liam McIntyre did very well in the role, especially given the circumstances of his casting.

The remainder of the cast is as compelling as even, although I was looking forward to seeing a little more of loony Lucretia (before she was cleaned up). None of the new players really made a strong impression, but I'm the sure the brother/sister combo will come into their own.

I did not like the prequel (probably its the same set side of story) and hopefully the upcoming Spartacus season would be good.

Damn. Episode three was AMAZING! It was like a season finale, but it was only the third episode.

So many twists and turns with all the different dealings. The only "fault" was the new Naevia. I just didn't buy Crixus' desire to rescue someone who he keeps calling Naevia, but who is clearly a complete stranger.

I think I would have preferred if they had killed Naevia (off-screen) and used that to drive Crixus towards vengeance against the Romans. They could have still created conflict because Spartacus could have (initially) wanted to flee Rome, but Crixus convinces him to stay, build and army and fight.

^^^^

Yeah, but the kind of bastard I just love to hate.

And both Glaber and Spartacus are screwed if Ashur and Lucretia continue to work as a team - they're each formidable as individuals, but as a team, they're unstoppable!
