Bummed to see the new look after being initially excited.
The new cartoon is going to need to be really good story wise to get me to watch it.
That being said, I wasnt super keen on the look of Avengers: EMH, but I love that!

Ill checkout the classic figures for sure though

Well well, the classics is looking a lot more promising for sure.

Cant see fi he has ab hinge hinge though, which I think is a must for cool poses!

Does the face look a little ... off?

Overall though I like it =-)

I hope they do more than just Lion-o and Tyrgra though!

AWESOME!! personally i don't care if they don't get to the rest of the cats, although it'd be cool, as i'll have a Liono shelf with these 2 and the sideshow premium format Liono!! Can't wait!!

really liking the look of that classic Lion-O, thanks for image Art! The lack of bicep joint worries me though, if he doesn't have swivel shoulders his arm will be stuck poking in front of him

Bandai's Classic Lion-O looks FANTASTIC! I'll have to get him. The final figure needs eyebrows though. And the hair could be toned down a shade or two from the incredibly vibrant orange he's currently sporting.

Does anyone know how they're being released? Are they going to be online only like MOTUC or are they planned for a wide release?

And I could be very wrong, but I think he does have bicep articulation. If you look at his mid-thigh swivel, they've sculpted the musculature to partly "cover" the swivel. I think they may have done the same with the bicep swivel.

Cheers.

Looking good. Lion-O's hair looks like it isn't "fitted" enough to his head though. There's a very visible gap all around where it "connects" to his head/face.

Parts of Tygra's leotard are also very smooth and "plastic" looking, but overall they're both very impressive.

I hope Panthro and Cheetara aren't too far behind.

Cheers.

I'll wait until I see these in person, or at least better pics. I'm a bit underwhelmed about the sculpts... not a fan of the articulation making them look so "puppetish".

The Icon Heroes, though, look amazing. MOTUC is indeed spoiling us, because they have great sculpts and good artic. I could really do with less artic and better sculpting on the TC figs...

At this stage... I would probably pass, unless they are reasonably priced (say $15 instead of the probable $30 plus they will be). May go for some of IH instead...

Yeh, Im kinda leaning more towards ' pass' than ' must nab' at the moment. Yeh that hair needs to attach better for sure.

But thunderkitties need artic DBF / Jor-El! they be poseable badass displays come on! lol.

Tygra at least needs to be posed in his 'leap towards screen ready to flay' like in cartoon intro!

AT least the attempt is being made, but i think its a mistake being 8" though.

I think they're okay for what they are, but then again I never was that much of a Thundercats fan to begin with, so I'm probably not as picky as real fans would be.

'Classics' for me. While the articulation ain't perfect, they do hit the nostalgia button. Hopefully the line goes beyond two figures.
