He is pure coolness.

I'm pretty sure they said no action figures at this time?

And is that from the mini statue line like the other statue I saw?:

No it's a 1/4 scale premium format piece by popculture shock distributed by Sideshow. Apparently it's something alomg the lines of 34 - 38 inches high , from base to tip of sword, and allowing for production shrinkage

It goes up for pre-order next month, with an expected delivery date of 1st quarter 2011 (likely late jab, early feb). It aint gonna be cheap either, judging by what pcs's Street Fighter PF's go for..

The one you have posted is the icon heroes one, which was an sdcc exclusivr, same size as the motu stactions. The one i posted is from sideshow and is premium format size, hefty price tag, but he will go with my hulk and thing nicely!

They look 4" to me judging by the scale of the sword. I am probably wrong though. The poster for the new animated series looks great!

I think u are right actually, basically gi joe size, which is great for the vehicle scale. I belived it mentiond somewhere that there will be 6-8 figs as well?

Kinda wish it was the old school look, but something is better than nothing, right? Guess I'll have to make do with my custom cats for that though!

apparently there will be 3 3/4 ones, 6 inch ones and a larger one thats in the classic style.

If those ARE modern Joe size I'm definitely interested! i love the Thundertank also.

Yeah, ive heard mention of a "collectors" line, so that'd be the classics type ones, i will be in trouble if they do a good amount of figs, these are almost as important to me as motu.....

They are making classic versions of Lion-O & Mumm-Ra.

The sales of the two will determine whether we see any more classic styled figures.

So keep your fingers crossed people.

If it has any of the same success as MOTU I think it will do fine, but I dont know if the fan base would be quite as large ? It didn't really spin off a lot of extra cartoons or such, just comics . But very hopeful of something that is classic and playable * not a good idea to play around with customs LOL*
