All I see on that cover is "the new buffy" and me no likey. Sad

That aside, the mask looks terrible. I hope it looks better soon.

Ryan Reynolds likes his comic movies, this is what, his 3rd one:
Blade Trinity
Wolverine
Green Lantern

And i guess if they do a Deadpool movie he will be in that one too.

Epic FAIL!

The bizarre musculature/vein body-suit is bad enough. The face-paint mask is even worse. Green Lantern has one of the coolest and most sensible costumes - just green and black. I don't know how they can go from any number of his comic book costumes (the most of which are okay) to that.

At least since it is all CGI, there is a chance they could change it before the film is released. Very little chance, but still a chance.

Cheers.

Not too bad, would've preferred more white around the gauntlet/forearm areas though.

I read an interview where the costume design team said they tried it but it didn't work well in "real life".

I've also heard that they changed the costume a certain amount so that they didn't have to pay royalties to someone.

It is for this reason that I hope this movie bombs at the box office!

It's better, much better, but it looks like a bad photo-shop to me.

Is that an "official" picture or just a fan-made mock-up of what the standard costume will look like?

I'm still surprised that one of the easiest comic book costumes was apparently such a challenge to translate to the "real world" that they'be insisted on creating the entire thing with CGI for the entire film.

Also, Ryan Reynolds looks funny in that mask. Kinda cross-eyed or something. It must be a crappy mask to make someone as pretty as Ryan Reynolds look weird.

Cheers.

That's not the costume.

At best it would have been a photo from an early costume test.

The suit is going to be 100% CG in the film.

Domino masks in real life pretty much always look stupid, it's just one of those things really. Kinda like how battle helmets with the nose protector bar on them make the person underneath look a little goofy and never look quite right. People naturally tend to focus on the middle of the face, and I think once you change the look of that focus area in any major way it just throws things askew a bit and makes things look a little odd in general...

As for the suit, it looks a bity too much like green motorcycle racing leathers to me, but as long as the film itself is good I can live with it...besides, who knows how it'll actually look in proper context, lighting and after any digital tweaking...
