DC at Myer

Post by Pixo on Sun Jun 13, 2010 4:46 pm

Went up to the Toy Department in Myer Melbourne last Wednesday on a whim when Big W and Target (again) failed to produce anything new.

First off my eye was drawn to the new packaging, then the figures themselves, of the 3.75" DC Universe figures. Compared to the first Infinite Crisis series of DCU, if anyone/everyone remembers, the figure of Mr. Terrific was just that. And under $10. How's that - Iron Man 2 figures at $18 - ? Then in the same aisle I found Green Arrow, Superman and Nightwing figures of DC Universe Classics @ $25. No BAF/C&C parts so these are reissues from more recent waves I'm assuming? 75 years of DC logo on the front.

Coolness. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll be checking my local for a few of those, particularly Green Lantern. I'm guessing this is a complete "wave" of re-issues as opposed to a C&C wave?

Cheers.

I had a quick look in our local Myer, but alas nothing. It seems that we get things two weeks later then everyone else though.

checked out Myer in Brisbane city (Myer centre) here tonight and they had some of these, grabbed the last PeeGee and they had Flash,Batman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Cyborg Supes left.

They also had that giant new Lego set of the fire house and the ship ($299 and $280 respectively)

I've been to Sydney city Myer twice in the past to weeks to check for these but either they didn't get them or I've missed them.

What they did have were some 75 years of superpowers, infinite heroes I hadn't seen before. They came with a badge, the pack said for the adult collector and it had the mattycollector logo on the back.

I saw Black Adam, Mr Terrific, Deathstroke the Terminator and a green translucent Guy Gardner.

I grabbed one of the Gardners because I thought it looked kinda cool. Its got much better articulation then the last time I picked up anything from this series. Although you'd want it to be good for $15.

Heya awe, you may want to have a good hunt around their toy department, in my local Myer (Brisbane city) they had the dcuc sitting on an end cap away from the rest of the figures. I have a feeling they would have come in at the same time as those IH figs.

I had a look at Chadstone and talked to the shelf-stacker there but, once I explained what DC was, she claimed no knowledge of these and when I said they were at the City store, I got the "different stores, different product" speech.

Ok. Castle Hill in Sydney last Sunday had the GA, GL, Supes, Power Girl and Cyborg Supes (with Kilowog piece).

Must say $25? Not much less than importing yourself...

No worries friend.

The ones I've seen at Toyworld are the 75 year of super power ones and the cyborg superman. Nobody with kilowog pieces.
