Anyone going to Melbourne Oct 16-17?

Just had a look at the schedule and really the only panel I'm interested in is Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred and Paul McGann on Sunday at 11AM.

I went yesterday morning.

Picked up SW:Clone Wars R3-S6 (Goldie) for $15 and the Rishi Base Battle Pack for $40.

Note to the guy in the Spider-man outfit - Unless you've got Wow!-factor downstairs, don't consider you need to have a comics-accurate one-piece body stocking. I don't want/need to know your religion. At least they guy in the Superman outfit maintained some of the mystery with pants on the outside. Even if he couldn't seem to put his arms down by his sides.

The Judge Dredd cosplayer's costume looked good, and the 10th Doctor must be the easiest or at least most prolific costume. All you need is either Jeans and Blazer, or suit, and a pair of Dunlop Volleys.

The organizers really need to do something about the venue. It is completely ill-suited to Q&A. I went to the session with Dr's 7 & 8 and the actress who played Ace. They couldn't hear any of the questions from the floor, PA announcements kept being made over them, and the wrestling was going on at the same time. Supanova at the Showgrounds seemed to have sorted this by separating the stalls from the speakers.

Bwhahahaha currently sitting in Newark airport waiting for a flight and nearly spat coffee onto my laptop screen. Recall seeing something similar at one of the US cons this year - think the fella had the old bolt job down below *urgh*

BTW Newark is the pits.

Whoa, just saw that Lloyd Kaufman was in attendance - did anyone go hang with him?

Nope.

It's been ten years since I've seen a Troma film, and as much as I like the guy, and wanted to meet him, I just felt like I'd be a tool to go up to him with virtually nothing fresh in mind to discuss.
