Hmm ok, thanks for that. I'll probably do the 11am thing anyway just because I'm lazy and don't want to get up at 7 tomorrow.

I thought for just a taste of an event it was ok. Venue was bad, but I think it's very promising.

Wow. What a waste of time. Battling St Patrick's Day parade crowds to fork out $20 to see 4 stands of dusty poorly laid out collectables and a bunch of chubby jailbait cosplay girls.

Hmmm. Sunday well spent...

Thats how that post should have read Twisted Evil

It was like the stunted little brother of parra fair on a hot day summers day when to many of the attende's had forgot basic hygiene principals of a wash and deoderant!

DCUC for $25 was pretty good.

Yeah, crap event, collectables wise, i'm not much for a nerd convention so i can't speak for that side of it... For me a collectables fair SHOULD be somewhere for buyers to go to get things at a good price either not normally seen in stores or at a better price than stores, and it SHOULD be up to the organiser to make it worthwhile to the sellers and buyers, this was NOTHING like that. To be fair though i think my basis for this is comic con and no collectables fair here will EVER be like sdcc..... But green parra demon, flash and penguin dcuc for $25each was ok....

this was supposed to be a protoype for a con like supanova. so more like that than the Parra fair.

Unfortunately it was advertised as a collectables fair when it should have been advertised as a convention - and might I add this was just a taste test, it was a bit of a "see how things go"

Trouble is, in the end it wasn't much of anything. Just a room with a few tables and a couple of people playing cards.

Look at the end of the day it was absolute shit, and a total waste of money, if this Armageddon comes to Sydney on a larger scale for the same price then i may go back otherwise i will avoid it like the plague, even if it's the last thing i ever do.

the thing is, I know people who have done Armageddon in Melbourne and New Zealand. They say it's excellent. Thats why this was such a MASSIVE let down.

Ah well. Bring on Supanova in June.

I really don't get where people are missing the part that said this wasn't a proper Armageddon, just a half arsed version to get a feel for the community/attendees. Yes, it was half arsed, and yes it was a nerd convention, but this info was fairly well advertised I thought Neutral
And no I didn't think it was worth $20 either, but I know its going to be 100% better next year when they put the full thing together.
