It's an interesting outfit.

Would the actual actor do much of the stuff in the Spidey suit?

Nope.

If that was their intention, the suit wouldn't be so heavily textured.

No, this movie is being made with a budget of LESS than the first Spidey film.

From what I've heard, the idea is to make it less like the Raimi Spidey films, and more like Kick-Ass.

I like the title.

TMZ was on TV at work today and they were having a whinge about the next Superman not being played by an American (some sort of tie-in with having encountered Dean Cain on the street - for some reason he is viewed as a good Superman, which I'm pretty sure is just because he was there).
Then they realised that every single upcoming/current main Male superhero is played by someone that isn't American. One of them lol'd and said 'thats what they get for casting Seth Rogan as Green Hornet' - which was shut down when someone else commented that he's Canadian.

English Spider-man, Aussie Thor, Welsh Batman, English Superman, etc...

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man (3D) (2012) Official Movie Thread

Post by Xenaphobia on Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:53 pm

I like the "Spidey-view" footage leading up to the big "reveal" of the costume in the reflection.

I'm very interested in where they're going with Peter's parents. I vaguely recall something about them being super secret government spies/scientists in the comic books and the initial scene with them making a run for it and Peter finding a mysterious bag that belonged to his father (including the key to his web shooters perhaps) all seem to indicate that they may go in that direction.

Otherwise, I'm a little disappointed at how much of the film seems to be a rinse and repeat of Raimi's first Spider-man film. I really don't need to sit through another "origin" film of Spider-man. I was hoping that the "origin" parts may have all just been via flashbacks throughout the film or even condensed into a very short "montage" introduction through the opening credits or similar (kind of like they did for The Incredible Hulk ... or was it another movie that did that).

Cheers.

wooo hooo! That's amazing first person, can't wait to see more of that in the theatre!

His costume eyes look a lot better there, and I'm happy to note that the bloke is tall and wiry and not 'short' and stocky like Toby is.

The silver tap shoes are an ... interesting addition.

At least Spider-man must be flattered that Superman has copied his patterned basketball material in red and blue. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all.

I don't like 'her' - enough to not want to know who she is (the actress I mean, not the character). In other words, I'm too lazy to imdb her, just want to sit here and complain about her. lol

She gets cred from me just for being in zombieland and surviving.
With those kinda side flashes on the costume, it made me think of house of M Spidey, but maybe thats the meds talking.
