Evil-Lyn

We now have 3 girls wearing this outfit, but as we get more ladies in the line it will be less noticeable.

Not to mention we will receive further versions of Lyn over the next few years....one would imagine.

Not too bad.

I wish there was more differentiation between the two "lighter" blues used on her arm gauntlets and the majority of her "armour", but hopefully the difference will be more apparent in person.

I'll probably try switching her forearms around as well to help differentiate the figure a bit more from Teela.

Otherwise, it's not too bad. The head-sculpt looks decent. The crystal ball seems way too small though.

Looking forward to seeing what the extra accessories are that Toy Guru/Mattel has mentioned will be coming with Evil-Lynn. I'm expecting we'll just see that same darn bird mould used again, but maybe they'll surprise us with something more unique (like a "cape" perhaps) to help the figure stand out a little more.

Cheers.

I think they mentioned at the Org that they didn't have the tooling money available to re-work the Teela outfit for Evil-Lyn AND get She-Ra out in 2010. It was one or the other.

I am happier that we we will see She-Ra in 2010 as Evil-Lyn still looks awesome &, as has been mentioned, we'll see more versions of Evil-Lyn over time.

Well, the original was just a Teela repaint with a new head. I have no problem with this being the same (never thought it would be anything but). A cape would be cool, though.

Oh, I didn't really think it would be anything else either.
I am stoked with the figure, but I do understand others not being as high on her.

Thanks for the originals pics. Thought I'd make this:

They gave her a new face sculpt, which is the critical thing for me, and quite a suitable one at that, so personally I'm happy with Evil Lynn. As everyone has said, it is true to the original in that it was largely a Teela outfit repaint originally anyhow. Plus they have already said that a 200X inspired version of Evil Lynn is planned for later in the line, so I imagine we'll see the cape and pale skin used on that version when it happens.

Hopefully she'll come with Screeech as a pack in as well. Hmmm, wonder if her staff glows in the dark...

Oh, and thanks for the pic, much appreciated.

Very happy to report my Teela does not have any bobble head issues.

I was also worried about swapping the heads over...but I did it with ease.

She is a fantastic figure! So is 200x Zodak.

New pics and bios:

Trap Jaw

Matty Comment: Trap Jaw contains all the parts for Trap Jaw and Kronis. He includes an interchangable head and arm as well as three weapon attachments. His jaw opens and closes too! He is the club Eternia figure. If you are a member you will be billed automatically and he will be shipped.

Bio:
Real Name Kronis

An insane criminal from the dimension of Infinita, Kronis was one of several evil warriors freed from an intergalactic prison by Keldor to bolster his ranks during the start of the Great Unrest. After serving Keldor for years, Kronis grew ambitious and raised an army of his own to challenge his master. Now a powerful Overlord of Evil, Skeletor defeated Kronis – breaking his jaw and his arm and leaving him for dead. Found and rebuilt by Tri-Klops, Kronis was transformed by him into Trap Jaw, a man armed with weapons and an “iron jaw!”

Wun-Dar

Matty Comment: Here is Wun-Dar the Savage He-Man! He is only available to Club members. You will automatically receive one Wun-Dar figure for each subscription you purchased. Wun-Dar will not be available for sale. Subscribers will also receive a map of Eternia folded as a 10X10 square with Wun-Dar. (it folds out to 30 X 20). You will receive one map and one Wun-Dar for every subscription you purchased.

Bio:
Real Name Wun-Dar

One hundred years before Prince Adam was born, Wun-Dar, a warrior from deep in the savage underground city of Tundaria, rescued a young woman who turned out to be the The Goddess of Eternia. She provided him with cosmic battle armor and a sophisticated ray gun that could tap into almost unlimited power. The Goddess tasked Wun-Dar to protect both halves of the sword of He and keep them apart lest they fall into the hands of evil. Like many warriors before him, Wun-Dar became known as the “He-Man,” battling in a savage way to keep evil from obtaining the key to the great power hidden inside the long forgotten Castle Grayskull.

And for those that haven't seen him yet, Battle Cat:

Matty Comment: Battle Cat is the first oversized figure. He will be $30.00 and is not part of the Club Eternia subscription. First come first serve on this one!

Bio:
Real Name Cringer

A member of the Green Tiger Tribe, Cringer was saved from a Parek-Narr attack by a young Prince Adam and afterwards became his devoted companion for life. He assisted Adam during his quest to unite both halves of the Power Sword of He and afterwards was enhanced by it's power to become Battle Cat, the fighting tiger of He-Man. Cringer is one of only a handful of allies who knows Adam's secret and fights alongside the other Masters of the Universe, carrying He-Man into battle against the forces of evil.

I've gotta say, for a very simple repaint, I actually quite like Wun-Dar, I think his darker colours really works quite nicely. It still kinda sucks that the bonus map will be folded rather than rolled though. I also couldn't help but notice that King Grayskull is featured on Wun-Dar's cardback. Re-release sooner than we thought, perhaps?

Can't see any Kronis parts in the Trap Jaw package, they must be stored behind the name plate. Also, is Trap Jaw the first character to have an all evil warrior cardback?

And that Battle Cat is so mine... Laughing

That's nothing like the Trap Jaw bio I remembered...I thought Skeletor pulled him from another dimension as a warrior who could open Grayskull.

Battling in a savage way ... with a sophisticated ray gun.

LOL. Some of these bios make me believe that Mattel is almost mocking the fans. I'm sure they're not, but some of them are quite amusing.

Trap-Jaw looks great. I WANT. No, I NEED!

They both look really awesome!

Love Wun-Dar's bio.

**

ToyGuru responds to worries the short staff Evil-Lyn will be a chase:

"It is not a chase version and we have no idea where Lee's got this information from. But considering they also called "Scareglow" "Skeletor in Scareglow outfit" they obviously are not as up on MOTU.

Evil Lyn comes with a long staff and a short wand with a swappable orb headpiece. (which is, by the way, cast in a cool translucent plastic!). And those aren't the only surprises with this mistress of magic....

More in January. "
