Just think of the guards being a 2010 scheduled release, but delayed. If the same thing happened, with let's say Swift Wind in 2011, it would be part of the 2011 sub, not the 2012 sub.

Makes sense.

Are the Palace Guards part of the 2010 Subscription or are they 'bonus' figs?

They're the last of the "beast" figs for 2010, so not part of this years sub, but the beast are included in the 2011 sub.

Off topic:

Does anyone else get incredibly impatient waiting for their next figures to arrive? >_<

It's not like I do much with them (odd poses aside)... but every time a new fig is in transit, I feel like my guys are suddenly incomplete again. Sad

I only really get the 'slow postage blues' when there are external factors.

When I got Battlecat there was a period of calmness for a few months. That figure is really the pinacle of the line so far, if you did not get him then you really are missing out big time.

The other big one was Trap Jaw... I got the re-issue because of ordering difficulties the first time around... Having the main 6 bad guys really feels like I have gotten the best that the line has to offer already.

Who do you count as the 6 main bad guys?

I'd say the top 5 are easily Skeletor, Mer man, Beast Man, Trap Jaw and Trikops. I guess I could put Evil Lyn there in a pinch, but she's never appealed to me that much.

Who would be the Top 6 Masters (heroes) though?

He-Man and Man-At-Arms pick themselves. I'd add Ram Man and Teela too. But then the others never got much focus (mainly because He-Man was so often the focus). Stratos is a bit wishy-washy. I loved Man-E-Faces so I'd put him in there but he never did much. Orko was comedy relief. Then there were Mekaneck, Fisto and Buzz Off.

For me the 6 main bad guys are; Skeletor, Beastman, Trap Jaw, Mer-Man, Tri-klops and Evil-Lyn... I guess it's really just a filmation thing. I like the other bad guys also, these are just the 'essential' foundation.

6 main good guys... He-Man, Man at arms, teela, battlecat, orko and the Sorceress. I also think that Ram Man and Mekanek could be included if you don't count the beasts.

Think I'm with d*r*j*... as much as I'd love to pick someone a little more out there, I think the guys filmation focused on are who I see in my head.

I did always have a fondness for Fisto though, and Buzz-Off.

*Wishes he had Battle-Cat*

It's just the conditioning... a lot of the other guys are great; Webstor, Whiplash, Hordak, Faker and Scareglow are amazing figures with definate personalities, but the filmation 6 are icons from my childhood.
