Insurance

Post by Mahzian on Sat Jan 02, 2010 7:10 am

Hi guys,I'm in the process of sorting out all my comics and figures at the moment and I'm becoming increasingly concerned if something happened (fire, flood, theft) to my collection. I was wondering if anyone here had any tips on getting insurance for their collection? Anyone know a firm that specialises in collectable insurance?

Cheers Smile

You shouldn't have to do that. Get your collection valued (and get some documentation from whoever values it) and submit a list with the valuation to your home contents insurer. You may have to pay a bit extra each year for your contents, but at least it will be covered.

Our premium is a bit extra and my room added about $30000 onto our contents insurance, that's shelving and everything in storage....

I highly recommended paying the extra or even getting a seperate policy. It's totally worth it.
