Hasbro Secret Wars 2-packs

Post by awe on Thu Dec 10, 2009 2:35 am

Well, I already bought these from Casefresh (prior to the Christmas sale. Doh!!!)

But I got a Target catalog in the local paper last night that pictured these for $27 each. (only series 1 shown but fingers crossed).

I know, that's still pretty pricey in old Toybiz ML money, but not compared to what I have forked out already. Thought I would pass it on. I really didn't expect to see these here at retail. In fact, the message I got from Casefresh (and why they pulled series 3 from their site) was that Hasbro was bringing less in to the country in the next year.

Saw these in Target on the weekend for $37.00. And in Big W the other day for $36.00. So, $27.00 is a decent price by comparison.

I was mildly tempted, simply because it was great to see some Marvel heroes on the shelves, but I just couldn't justify almost $40.00 for two little figures (although in all fairness, I did turn around and then spend $80.00 on the super-deluxe-collector's edition of Woody from Toy Story which was marked down from $100.00 at Myer, so everyone's idea of "value for money" is going to be different).

Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up. The Target in Brisbane CBD also had wave 5 figures (Guardian and a dark blue Bullseye were in stock).

^^^^ No idea. Sad if true though. The one I'm talking about is the Thinkaway version in the "Woody's Roundup" style box, with the display stand, etc. There's also a Mattel version that is quite similar, but comes in a regular Toy Story box, no stand, not as much detailing, etc.

Where did you see a Woody for $56.00?

Cheers.

^^^^ Phew. That's the Mattel version, not the Thinkaway super-deluxe-collector's version. Still, good to see K-Mart charging more reasonable prices. They wanted $80.00 for the Mattel version of Woody the last time I checked.

Cheers.
