Hasbro really have taken a big shit on the international collector market, haven't they? Unless I'm missing something completely.

They still have their Street Fighter stuff, though the newer ones have been taken off only the stuff they had in stock

We still have the good doc though

I have a really good Hasbro Rep.....so I don't generally experience too much difficulty in finding out what I need to know.

I am rather skeptical of some of the claims made in that email, particularly that assts arrive with 'surprise' figs inside......this just never happens. Hasbro provide detailed product lists that show exactly what's in an asst. As a retailer, you just need to make sure that you're looking at the most current version of the product list. If an asst does change then generally the product number for that asst will change also.

As for the claim of orders placed for stuff that never arrived....well this happens all the time. It essentially comes down to the retailer making sure that what they ordered back in Feb is still current later in the year. I've constantly got to make sure that my back-orders match product release forecasts.

In the end, it comes down to business management, especially if you're a retailer who is specific about what asst you want to receive.

I received an updated product list from Hasbro for 2010 about a week and half ago now. I just need to place my orders for the year ahead and periodically check them to make sure the product codes remain relevant....as running changes happen all the time. This is how it's been for me for the best part of ten years.....so nothing new.

Some retailers think the distributor is there to bend over backwards for them, to accommodate any and all requests made. The reality is, the distributor is in the driver's seat. You as the retailer just need to hang on and be aware of what is and isn't going on.

Well, in any case, I only buy my toys online thru Paul these days (exceptions of course when CF have had a stupidly good sale).
Any other toy purchases are usually pretty random on the spot kinds so really I'm not losing out or having to change anything.
Basically I had already organically lost interest in CF for anything but reference, and even that was useless at times. So now I have been enlightened on the irritating business that is retailing toys, have more respect for Paul's efforts (like I had none to begin with? Razz) and hereby vow never to ever decide to sell toys.
