Re: Casefresh xmas sale

Post by Nightcrawler on Wed Nov 18, 2009 4:21 pm

I'm a bit cheesed off. I placed an order for $101 worth of stuff but they told me 2 items weren't available and invoiced me for the rest at $72 + $13.40 postage = $85.40

So I added another $8 item to bring it over $90, but it only came to $81.40 and the postage didn't change. So I added ANOTHER $8 item bringing it to $89.40 and they sent me another email saying "The new total is $102.90. Please note that free shipping can only be applied to orders of $90 or more, and cannot be applied to orders below this amount."

I pointed out that my initial order was for $101 worth of stuff that they could not provide, but they're sticklers over that .60c! So I withdrew one of the $8 items and swapped it for a $9.50 item and now I should get free shipping! (I hope)

Unbelievable. I think this may be my last dealing with Case Fresh.

how the heck can you add $72 and $8 to come up with $81.40??
Free shipping is worked out on price of product hence;
$72 + $8 + $8 = $88 so, no free shipping.
$72 + $8 + $9.50 = $89.50 still, no free shipping.
If you are not happy, I would cancel the entire order and get it elsewhere.

No, the sale prices are excellent. If it were my business, I wouldn't be quibbling over .50c from a repeat customer to qualify for free shipping. That's all I'm saying.

Thanks for the heads up.

Nabbed a few goodies including the re-release Star Trek TOS two-packs (although now I need a Chekov and he seems to be quite a rarity) and another BSG Cylon Centurion.

Cheers.

Just a heads up - I've unpacked my case and the "Justice League box set" (which had no picture) that I ordered turned out to be the Alex Ross JUSTICE box set (Supes, Bats, GL & WW) for $40! I'm well stoked, they are awesome figures. I already have Bats but I don't reckon I'd have picked up the other three for $40 so I'm really happy.

Damn. Alex Ross set for just $40.00. Super deal.

Still happily waiting for my items to ship. At such great prices I don't mind the wait, except for the fact I keep checking their website and wishing I'd ordered more figures.

Cheers.

Yep comic too. Beats me why there are several sets they don't have pics of online...

Sledge I'm eyeing off the Batgirl in that set... I'd do her for $20 if Jonah is worth $20 to you? I don't want Supes though, he's UGLY.

* Just posted pics under "recent hauls" - enjoy!

Sorry I didn't respond Nightcrawler, must have missed your earlier message somehow.

I see they still have these sets in stock, but I think I'm going to have to take a pass, as cheap as these are, as things are a bit tight at the moment. Again though, sorry I didn't let you know sooner, didn't mean to string you along or just leave you hanging like that.

I didn't want to create a new thread for it, but I just realised that CF has removed ALL NECA and Hasbro items from their site.

Re: Casefresh xmas sale

Post by Hemish on Tue Feb 23, 2010 5:33 pm

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of all remaining outstanding Hasbro 2009 pre-orders.

All customers that have pre-ordered any 2009 items with Case Fresh have now had their pre-orders cancelled as we will regrettably be unable to fill your order.

Throughout 2009 Case Fresh experienced ongoing difficulties in securing Hasbro collector licensed products such as action figures, vehicles and multi-packs. Items that we had ordered were never supplied. Cases of figures that were supplied differed from what we had ordered and were either missing some figures or contained extra figures from previous waves that we were not expecting. Simple requests for retail lists so that we could place orders for items were never answered. These problems continue to persist in the Australian marketplace into 2010.

Due to an apparent disregard by Hasbro for Australian collectors we were required on many occasions to seek items from overseas, often at short notice once we were finally informed that the products we ordered would not be supplied locally. While we have done our best under the circumstances there were still a few items that we have been unable to supply to collectors.

It is very unsatisfactory for us to disappoint our customers, and is also frustrating for the staff at Case Fresh when we do all in our power to supply the items you want only to be left to shoulder the blame when others let us down.

Unfortunately it appears that 2010 will be at least as challenging for local collectors with possibly even less support locally for the Star Wars line. Of the little information we’ve been able to obtain it would seem that future case assortments are going to be even worse for collectors, with product still to be ordered ad hock as demand dictates rather than bringing in the full line. Coupled with these persistent problems with Hasbro’s brands we have made the difficult decision to drop all support for their products from Case Fresh.

We understand this will be very disappointing for our customers and regret that we will no longer be able to assist you with your Hasbro collections. We would however like to confirm for you that we have excellent working relationships with all our other suppliers such as Gentle Giant Ltd, Sideshow Collectibles and Hot Toys to name but a few. These relationships continue to strengthen and expand as is reflected in today’s website overhaul. These companies are very focussed on collectors which is clear by their level of professionalism and the quality products they create.

We look forward to continuing to supply your collecting needs with new and exciting products from our retail partners throughout 2010 and well into the future.

Regards,
CASE FRESH
