Be careful. I bought S1-7 of ST:TNG for about AU$150 delivered from DVDMD.tv which looks suspiciously like this site.

I did receive a box of DVDs but Nemesis artwork on the box, Bearded Riker photos on discs for seasons where Riker was clean-shaven, no documentation, etc. Just a long box with DVDs in those multi-sleeves.

Wouldn't concern me but the video quality on the discs itself is so bad that it resets my DVD out of upscaling mode.

I wrote to them asking them to confirm these were legit and they replied that these were the releases for a region outside the US. I wrote to Paramount with no response. I had the opportunity to send them back at my cost but it wasn't worth throwing good money after bad.

The video quality is watchable, but only just.

It may not be the same group but compare the websites and just heed the maxim that if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

First time I've heard of these guys Doc. I know there was an Aussie-based DVD fourm that reviewed online retailers. I can't remember the name but I'm sure someone else on this forum would be able to name one.

I used to order stuff via CD-WOW and DVDPacific but I haven't done that for ages. Have been tempted to grab some movies via eBay etc but with HD torrents etc. buyers can easliy be conned out of their cash.

I'd do some research before throwing down your cash.

I try to make a habit of not buying DVDs that don't have the Aus classification sticker (as someone that doesn't buy anything other than region 4). That is, unless I can't get it any other way.

That website is promoting a box set of the L word, all seasons including season 6, which isn't out here on DVD yet - I'd say they're either dodgy or like Pixo said "a region outside of the US" (which could be dodgy itself).

As nice as those prices are, I'm sticking to more reputable dealers Wink
