Jazzware's Astro Boy Figures

Post by Xenaphobia on Tue Oct 20, 2009 2:05 pm

Greetings all,

I spotted Jazzware's Astro Boy 3.75" action figures at "Toys R Us" for $10.00 each. I haven't seen them anywhere else, but I would expect them to show up in most retailers.

I was tempted by the standard/vanilla Astro Boy (reviewed here: http://www.infinitehollywood.com/2009/10/jazzwares-astro-boy-figure-review.html), but I just can't bring myself to purchase a 3.75" scale figure.

Plus, it looked kind of crappy, although good to see it priced at $10.00 instead of $18.00 like other 3.75" figures (which are probably better quality sculpts, etc, but still seems expensive to me).

Cheers.

I didn't know you disliked 3.75" scale Adam.

Indeed I don't. Just a personal preference for 6" and larger (yes, I know that sounds dirty). I almost passed on the Dr Who line (which is 5"), but was won over by their great likeness even in that smaller scale.

I also buckled for "Justice League" (the cartoon) because the only other choice was the 10" figures, but I'm slowly trying to build a DCUC "Justice League" to replace those figures.

Probably just a case of: You can't teach an old dog, new tricks.

Cheers.
