Action Figure Display Stands

Post by Xenaphobia on Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:52 am

Hello all,

Does anyone know somewhere that sells clear plastic display stands/stepped risers similar to those in this Ebay auction (but much cheaper):

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/He-Man-MOTU-2-STEP-DISPLAY-STANDS-LOT-OF-5_W0QQitemZ260470744081QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Action_Figures?hash=item3ca5442411&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Item No: 260470744081

I wouldn't have thought a bit of clear plastic could be so expensive ($40.50 with shipping).

My shelves are quite "deep" and I'd love something to the auction item so that I could view the figures in the "back" of the display a lot clearer. It doesn't necessarily have to be "stepped" at different heights, even a clear plastic single step/stand would help.

Many thanks for any assistance/guidance.

Cheers.

I do have some acrylic risers that are greater if you have shelves that are deep and tall. I ended up building some steps out of cheap wood from Bunnings - my woodshop skills are still sh!re after all these years.

My local Shoe store uses these clear, plastic stands to display their shoes. I managed to get one for free. Some shoe stores might use these, wouldn't hurt to ask for a spare one, or where they get them from.

sorry about the grainy pic.

That was my auction in the first post with the 5 stands for $40 shipped. the reason for the cost was i was selling them at my cost, i bought 20 at $4.00each + $25.00 shipping but the sellers shipping was actual shipping of $40 to ship the lot of 20 to me. Then when i went to ship due to the weight of these stands, it was around $18.00 postage. So i wasnt selling these for profit, i just had to many & not enough room for the extras i bought. They did originally come from a shoe store, so try your local. I'm going to cover the stands i have with an eternia backdrop for each shelf.

I never saw the last wave or two down here back in the day, so the last few figure releases I never got to see in person, so I'm pretty vague on those guys. Gotta say he has a weird looking weapon too.

And yeah, I'll probably hit you up for some of those stands in the next couple of months or so, depending on how my spare funds are doing, but they look like the perfect thing for when I finally start displaying my motuc's, as well as for my Joker figure collection.

Yeah, I was the same with the later figs, but I traded my old d&d gaming figs for the bulk of my stuff which included some of the newer figs, so I just hunted the rest on eBay, including him, and I have no idea as to what his weapon is.....
