Grimr outta Toys and into Gaming stuff

Post by Grimr on Mon Aug 24, 2009 7:08 pm

Hi All.

Wondering if anyone has any old gaming consoles they would like to offload or trade for stuff. I will start listing Marvel stuff soon, but have various other mcfarlane, Spider-man and Friends, Mighty Muggs, Galactic heroes, Soul reaver, Lord of teh Rings etc etc stuff. DC super heroe sets (all since series 1) . sets of marvel legends (TBA) , Street Fighter, Megaman Exe, transformers first movie,

Ebay link: http://shop.ebay.com.au/smilingtiger99/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25 (hope it works)

At the moment I am looking for lots of stuff, but have the more common consoles pretty well covered. Non working is okay as its just for display.

Specifically looking for...but open to all offers...or stories about cool stuff you have but dont want to part with...

-Nokia N-Gage - regular or Q version.
-Gameboy Micro
- Gameboy Advance SP with AGS- 001 or 101 on back.
-Controllers - obscure ones ideal, good condition is ideal. Looking at ones like the flat Atari pads with 2 orange buttons and thumb stick, or any that you are willing to photograph if not sure what and where it is from.
-Old gaming systems from 70s onwards, working or not does not matter.
-Mega CD 1 or 2
-Megadrive Power base Master system converter.
- SNES Action replay or region code unlocker cart.
- Master System 1
-Dreamcast
-Saturn
- Plug and play devices, like Street fighter ones that came out a while ago
- Working PSOne (smaller version)
- Ataris consoles or Lynx systems.
-Genesis or other USA released different styled systems.
-Different colored N64s (have blue and black.)
-Games more popular games are of more interest spanning all systems except PC, Ideal for boxes but not essential. SNES Donkey Kong Country, N64 Donkey Kong 64.
- Multi carts, like boot leg multiple game sin one cartridges, most systems got
-Any obscure Japanese consoles or handhelds, not into the game and watches, but if you have em recommend you check out ebay.
- Rare colored consoles

If interested please feel welcome to Pm me with what you are wanting to get rid of and how much you would like or what you are looking for.

I will start listing stuff I have soon. Starting to list on Ebay too, so if you are interesed in something there gimme a holler.

As usual if you are not a regualr boarder with a sound feedback score I'll ask that the items be sent first then give payment or trade items...sorry just to avoid being ripped off...AGAIN.

Thanks

Hmmm, seems a lot of people are putting together retro console/gaming collections of late, I personally know a few folks doing the same, and seem to hear of more quite often. Must be "that time" as far as gaming systems as collectibles goes...

I have (for sale)...

SNES, boxed with all inserts & extra controller.
Mega Drive I - no idea if it works.
Mega Drive II with Mega CD II - have about 4 CD games, 21 cartridge games - 20 with cases, varying amounts have instructions as well.
PS1

I've no freakin' idea what else I have...theres something I'm sure I'm missing.

I'm also looking out (to buy) a Gameboy Micro, as well as a regular ol' GBA and a Gameboy Light to round out the basic GB console collection.

I'll update eventually, when I'm awake and living.

...Say it ain't so, you're not getting rid of your entire collection? The humanity!!!!!! You have to show some pics of your collection before you sell it off.

I have the following,

Original NES in box, I have about 5-10 games.
I have a N64 (black) with about 20 or so games.
A sony ps1, no games however.

Post by Grimr on Tue Aug 25, 2009 4:11 pm

Awesome! thanks for the boat load of replies everyone. Will PM those that listed stuff.

Ahhh my toy collection if I was to take pictures....well....it owuld be of boxes, the toys jsut end up in boxes, I love em, but displaying them, I dunno takes away something for me...its weird, the whole time i was collecting toys was to display, but when i displayed them it seemed a bit of an anti climax.

NAh Nitey I am stickin with some stuf fliek ML (dying a gurgling death) and Transformers...and whatever otehrs but offloading doubles and stuff that I bought cos I could rather than really wanted.

But yeah its about the system designs. I have a soft place for controllers too...I have been digging through many a cash converters controller bundle...and yes i have been innocualted so was pretty safe....the terro that is hours and hours of peoples gaming sweat terrifies me.

And thanks Bugs, I will post my ebay here, I only have a Mega Gir listed at the moment frorm Invader Zim (looking at about $200 for it), as the MP-04 I had listed sold like lightening Sad Well I guess its Smile Happy to pull stuff from Ebay if people are interested in trades.

I think just about every console bar the PS3, Xbox and Game.com are emulated well. But I am not a huge game player, I might play a first few levels of most games then move on to something else...but Dynasty warriors I can play non stop, and Dreamcast games, LORD those beautiful Dreamcast games...I fear the day the Dreamcast I bought back to life decides to BYTE the dust.

Sammy knows me too well, that Mega CD in "Sweetest" condition is mighty tickling of fancies, and the Intellivisions too as don;t know much about them.

You can have my 'connect four' game. I know its not a console, but hours used to be spent playing it, just like a console.

Doesn't have any plastic disks, and no feet to hold it upright.

. the holes are covered with sticky tape. Theres a picture on it of a criminal im pretty sure...looks kidna mean and surly, but handsome at the same time

hang on. Im looking at my picture on the wall.

what was the topic again?

dammit. I ate some of ur crystal meth cereal again, didn't i zink?

some may ask why im posting this gibberish?
most wont care.
Im one of them.
END THREAD DERAILING.
hehe

Zink better not sell off his toys till the damn things have seen the light of day all at once at least ONCE in his lifetime! So no ones allowed to buy his stuff till then, ok? !

Rage, please sell that tightar$e ur xbox360 so i can kick his butt on sfighter online! mwahahaha

Things your need to collect... (having collected this stuff big time in the past admittedly my collection has gotten a lot smaller thanks to fires in Australia but own bigger toys now like arcade and pinball machines. Also do a heck of a lot of restoring of vintage stuff.)

Bandi Wonderswan (Japanese only compeditor to GBC. They cheap and quirky.)
N64 DD (Japanese only Optical Disk add on to N64. Expensive)
Magnavox Odyssey
Vectrex (Fairly cool system Vector Graphics that uses screen overlays)
Turbografx or Turbo Duo. (Very cool systems for there time.)
Jaguar
Amega 32
Neo Geo
CDi and 3DO (Because the pure silliness of the systems)
Any Brazilian Sega console or game.... because the still make Master System.

Theres a heap of bizare stuff I could point you in the right direction too if wanted.

and

You also need to seriously look into getting a Sega Naomi Arcade system if you like the Dreamcast so much. The technology is based off the Dreamcast. It's similar to the Neo Geo where you can swap out games easily from the basic unit which run Cartridges but there is also a CD Add on. I've been on a spree lately with this and been picking up games for under $20 US. Mind you I did pay a pretty penny for Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and kick myself daily for not keeping my Spawn Cartridge.

Hey Thanks Octane, not seen you for ages!

Yeah the list is mostly my list of tough to find grails, the Odyssey I LOVE the design!!! And much love fo rthe wood grain style systems, it jsut screams the design choices and fashions of the times!!! And the evolution of the controller...I love it!! The Sega Megadrive 1 3 button controller is still my fav, chunky and just has purpose when you hold it.

I got a Wonderswan, but it got ignored for the neo geo pocket Gal fighters, I better dig it out to give it some love. Been wan ting a Swancrystal, but just getting the regular stuff has been pretty expensive so far.

Also dying for a Nomad, but they sell for so much, on ebay, Gotta get to the point where I have not been pushing the boundaries of the budget so can just fork out once for units Mint in Box still. USA always seems like the place to collect these things, stuff sells for great prices there but the shipping is the ultimate face punch.

Yeah there was some stuff being sold on Ebay a few weeks back, but its was aboard that hooked up to teh Dreamcast. I just fear that the Naomi roms are so sensitive, so a bump or crash they stuff up, but honestly do not have a great knowledge of the systems, but have enough knowledge now to face palm myself for passing up some great deals.

But sega arcadewise...CANNON SPIKE!!!! LOVE IT mind numbing tactical game play...Great for Grimrs poor attention capabilities.

Okay, finally have my list ready. Phew!

Consoles
Sega Mega Drive I
Sega Mega Drive II & Mega CD II
Super Nintendo - boxed (with all inserts) - comes with extra controller
Sony Playstation One
Sony PSOne

The MDI hasn't been tested, I have no idea what it's deal is.
MDII works but has a bit of a dicky power cord at the console's connection end. Once you have it in right and don't touch it again, it plays fine for hours.
The PSOne has some epic scratches in the lid, however it works perfectly.

Genesis Games (work on MD)
F-17 Night Storm
F22 Interceptor
Desert Strike
Jungle Strike
Crue Ball
Road Rash

MD Games
Robocop Versus The Terminator
Super Thunder Blade - No Case
Turbo Outrun
Forgotten Worlds
Sonic the Hedgehog - Torn book
Sonic the Hedgehog - No book
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - No book
Aladdin
World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - No book
Red Zone
Captain Planet
Batman - No book
6-Game Cartridge
Altered Beast - No book
Battle Toads
Revolution X
The Lawnmower Man
NBA Showdown '94
The Lion King - No case/book
Pac-Mania - No book
Columns

All these games are in varying states, the cases and outer junk anyway. Games should play fine, they played fine when I first got them and have been sitting in a cupboard ever since (unless taken out to play).

Mega CD Games
Road Avenger
Yumemi Mystery Mansion
Mortal Kombat
Batman Returns - slightly rough condition instruction book

All of these are in perfect working order with instruction books.

I also have a copy of Battle Out Run for Master System, no instructions.

If you'd like any pictures or more info about anything, let me know.

I've got the newer N-Gage, the Q Version, Mint Condition.

It's been my loyal phone for years, not a scratch on it and works beautifully.

I think I've even got a copy of Sims for N-gage lying around sealed as well I could throw in, how much are you offering?
