A poor showing for Ghostbusters at Toy Fair.

But Mattel say the line is just getting started:

Orignally we had intended for a new 6" figure to ship ever 2-3 months. But, inevitably due to circumstances well beyond our control we had a few hickups (this is why we don't do preorders for any of our lines!). But we are back online now and 6" Walter Peck is scheduled to hit Mattycollector.com in May. This will be followed by Slimed Peter in June and Labcoat Ray in Aug.

12" Peter will hit in April followed by Winston in Aug.

We're running a bit behind but by the end of the year we should be caught up and ready for even more Ghostbuster fun in 2011!

There will be three more 6" figure for 2010 yet to reveal plus a really great SDCC item that will knock your socks off! The Ghostbuster fun has only yet begun - only on Mattycollector.com!

Yeah not really liking the Peter figure, something about it seems off specially compared to the other three.
Walter Peck kinda surprised to see that done so soon, would of thought they would make Dana or Lewis before him

I'm pretty sure the Egon I have is supposed to be slimed, but it is no-where near as prominent as on Venkman above, so maybe it is just the proto that will be soo green.

I gather they threw Peck together early on since they had a suited mold, though I think that is a new body in the pics above.

Hopefully we see Dana, Louis or Janine at SDCC.

Im glad i decided not to start on these. I love me some Ghostbusters, but these just arent grabbing me at all the more I look into them. The 12Inch ones are still a maybe for me, but Im passing on the 6inch.

The line is getting kind of "meh".

I must admit, though, the figures look better in person than in picture. I'll get the slimed Peter, even though it looks too cartoony (and I'll be up to my third Slimer, with the Egon pack-in and the NECA version).

If this Peter is good enough in person, I'll probably bother no more with any of the other figures, unless I'm somehow wowed.

The lab coat variants don't really excite me. I may get Peck if he's still around when I order Peter (and even then, only for the containment unit.. well played Mattel you bastards).

If they really wanted to kick this line into gear, make an in scale Ecto-1 that the boys in grey can ride in. That would be awesome!!

Did we see the issues with the 12" Venkman?
http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=241&itemid=15765

Or am I the only one here buying 12"?

What are peoples thoughts on the Retro Mego styled Real Ghostbusters figures?

While I actually think it's a really cool idea & I love the look of the figure, I think I will have to limit myself to the movie figures. Financial reasons mostly.

i only buy the 6 inch figures.

the RGB figures are ok, but i'm not into that whole MEGO style.

the head squish on Venkman fixes itself after a couple of days in some sunlight apparently (from TheFwoosh)

Hmmmm...

Apparently there will be variants released for the SDCC Retro Peter Venkman including a green skinned version:

Toyguru said they will be blindboxed so people will have no idea which version they are getting. thumbs down

I'm actually glad I passed on these as they hit now, I'm just not as happy with the headsculpts overall as I hoped I would be. I figured I'd wait for the inevitable boxed set of all four anyway, but I won't even bother with something like that now. They just don't have enough of the 'wow' factor for me I guess.
