Quite the bargain. I think Toys R Us have these for $30!!! I will pick up a few.

I'm also interested in the Turbo Tank. Does anyone have this baby and can recommend shelling out the hard earned on it?

Happy hunting

Haha...weird. I was too old for Pirate Lego when it came out but now that I've grown into a freakish man-child I guess it's all ok.
I wont be getting any Pirates though I'm sure but I will be all over the Medieval Market Village like a sweat rash on a fat man's inner thighs.

I'm so tempted to replace my childhood lego with this stuff, but I'm desperately trying not to start new collections, especially not right now...
I think I might wait until next year to seriously research some of these series to get a good collection.

i had planned on going early this morning to grab a couple of the star wars comic packs, but i am not in the mood to spend any money because, i sold my childhood lego on ebay. i had it weighed at the post office and it was 4.88kg, In my ebay listing i stated approx 5kg. the buyer sent me an email after he received it and said that he weighed it and it was only 4kg. he now wants me to give him a refund for the missing product.

so i am down about $30-$40

Thats when you need to say "See that 'approx' before the 5? Yeah, that means its not a definite spot-on figure."
Stupid ebay saps.

Re: Target toy Sale 23rd July

Post by dimefan90 on Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:40 pm

i just got back from tuggerah, a lot of the lego was gone but most sets were still available.

i was there on tuesday and they had the darth vader and the white vader comic packs. 2 of each whereas they had a ton of all the other ones.
today they still had heaps of the others but the vader ones had been picked up. i had even moved them to the back. disappointed. i just hope that they went to someone who would keep and enjoy them and not just some scalper.

the toy section/ and pretty much the entire store is in a massive mess, and a fair few toys had been damaged or ripped out of the packs by kids/shoplifters.

they still haven't fixed the massive holes in the roof right above the toy section so hopefully it doesnt rain very heavily any time soon.

i saw a few Transformers that i wanted to get, they still didnt have universe starscream, but david jones has it. (for almost $40 mind you)

i ended up only getting another universe legends G2 megatron

I picked up an old Clone Wars Lego Set (7670 for $32.00) that for some reason my local Target had available in some QTY. The set contains a Spider Droid, Hailfire Droid and a few Battle Droids......

Not a lot on offer that really stood out for me. I think K-Mart and Big W got the jump on Target this year in terms of having decent stock available for their respective sales a few weeks ago.

The local Target Country store in Lismore is tiny, with a very small toy section with mostly infant toys. No joy for figures.

last year my local had some old batman lego sets that were shelved with the dark knight stuff. quite wrapped I got those, and surprised they had them. That set with the bat wing and joker copter is maybe about 3-4 years old.

Don't see lego batman sets in stores any more. Not even the robin ones! LOL.

Yeah, great to pick up the old stuff.

Well, Tuggerah was mostly half-emptied by the time I got there. Nothing I really wanted bar the medieval market & pirate ship, of which there were only a few left on Sunday.
Didn't matter, wasn't interested in sticking around for them anyway Razz

Checked out Target at Pacific Fair on the Gold-plated Coast today. Nothing that interested me, not even half price hasbro ultimate lightsaber... no DCIH, which I'm hunting. some marvel universe but regular price. TRU was similarly disappointing, they had all the same DCIH my local Big W has, but $2 dearer. I bought nothing.
