At the last Sounds of Spring here in Brissie they had a promo that worked pretty well, if you give the bartenders so many empty cans (forget how many) you get a free drink. It actually got to the point with people running around collecting them off the ground and fishing them out of bins Very Happy

If you could get the alcohol suppliers to support it, it'd be a goer.

Exactly, I'm skeptical as hell. Beer companies at least would be a very unlikely candidate - its not direct revenue for them really.

Cool. I haven't heard the new song, but I'm supposed to be going to their Perth show in March. I think it's on the week after ACDC.

Well, I haven't mentioned it so far (I think), but I saw Fleetwood Mac in early December at their 1st Sydney show and I haven't stopped listening to their stuff since.
Within a month I'd bought/rec'd the white album thru to Tango in the Night (including the double disc versions of Rumours & Tusk); making of Rumours, TitN concert and Destiny Rules DVDs. Plus Stevie Nicks' Live at Red Rocks.

Now I already liked them pre-concert, but the 'liking' seems pale in comparison to how obsessed I got and have been since then...it's a little embarrassing but I have to admit it. Razz

(Also more embarrassingly I spent the beginning of the concert trying to work out why I was attracted to the 61 year old Stevie...t'was a very weird 20 minutes before I gave in and accepted my bizarre fate)

I was so keen on Splendour, then I saw the ridiculous accommodations - I'm not a camper but it seems there is no choice without a lengthy drive each morning/night. And even if you are a camper, you could still miss out on a camp site due to lack of space...bloody disorganised bunch.

Yeah I bought a whole bunch for my mates - was an absolute cluster #### on the Visa pre-sale. Ticketek stagger the venue listings prior to the sale, so punters were going nuts saying Perth and Melbourne had sold out already. I unfortunately won't be able to make the Perth gig since I'll be overseas. Hoping to score a ticket to the Adelaide show. Didn't manage to get any floor tickets - after the backaches from standing at ACDC I think most of my mates are happy with that.
