Does anyone post over at He-man.org?

Post by Dabigfella on Tue Jun 23, 2009 7:49 am

What a crappy forum, i have never seen such a heavily moderated site before, peoples posts get changed all the time or deleted, that mod bot is an a$$, it's much more like a dictatorship than anything, it definately makes me enjoy here so much more.......

It' one of the reasons I don't post over there over more. My username is Jakes12, I once reported that imdb had updated some details about the proposed He-Man movie and you should have seen how heavy the mods came down on me!!!!!!

Yeah I'm a member as well, but I very rarely post, I usually just go there for news/updates every so often. Not only is it moderated at times seemingly under the concentration camp principle, but it also seems very clique based, and not particularly welcoming of new members/collectors/fans.

People who collect toys (or anything else for that matter) getting all elitist with other collectors who also collect toys (or whatever else) has always struck me as one of the stranger parts of the collecting scene...

That site does not represent the better part of the MOTU community anyway its a bit of a joke the things they ramble on about.

Im not being an ass but He-man collectors do seem to always be a bit pissed off about everything, i don't know if it was how they were treated during 200X but i mean come on this is a new golden age for them as collectors with one (if not the) best lines in the world.

I've heard all that stuff before from the U.S based forums with Marvel Legends.
Why does x-23 deserve to be a Marvel Legend etc.
They are such a-holes remember after the in depth panel at SDCC about how motuc was going to run with figures being scaled like the vintage figures and the first question asked by some random douchebag was "will we get an in scale Clawful".

It's what the internet's for .....pornography and bitching about movies/wrestling storylines/toys etc......I know that there were guys from SOTA who read the streetfighter threads @ thefwoosh .... with the pages and pages of complaining I wonder why they're not confident continuing the line?.... Generally I think over our time we've celebrated/discussed toys/movies etc here which is why I'm a member to grow/share my hobby not whinge about it

Lovely Simmo. Laughing

I post over there on the rare occasion. I use the same username wherever I go.

I obviously don't pay close enough attention as I never notice the craziness people mention.

I had one post deleted over there. It was when people were complaining bout Teela having a small butt. I said the Horsemen must be white guys! Very Happy

In general though it annoys me how much they complain about everything over there.

Post by Sledge Hammer! on Tue Sep 15, 2009 3:26 pm

It annoys me a little just how much they censor and arbitrarily remove posts, and I'm not just talking about posts that clearly cross the line, but posts that are clearly just a joke or just have a different opinion than the "company line" of the board itself. And they do it so much that you probably wouldn't even notice if you weren't around there regularly. It's also not exactly new member friendly over there, as can be seen by the newer folks who dare make a post similar to one that was made before, maybe six months ago, and get it insta-locked, while long time members can seemingly resurrect old posts or debates at will without risking the same backlash...

Hell, even I got a ban warning a while back, for posting an image in the thread about the guy who picked up all those MOTU art books was being ripped on. Apparently all the images that those guys posted were fine, but mine crossed some magical invisible line, so it was removed and I got warned by PM... Laughing

I post over at he-man.org, but not very often.

I've never noticed any moderation though. I guess I just don't post inflammatory enough stuff.

Now I'm tempted to head over there and start a post about how She-Ra was so much stronger than He-Man (and her sword could turn into other stuff as well) and if they got into a fight, how She-Ra could simply parade a shirtless Bow around and that would distract He-Man long enough for She-Ra to get in a killing blow.

Cheers.

P.S. Tom Cruise seems to be enjoying whatever Prince Adam is doing to him in that video. Poor Katie Holmes. I hope she gets a nice big payment when her contract to play Tom's wife expires.

I post over on the .org under the same username

I have had some of my posts edited or deleted but it doesn't bother me that much

There is a lot of negativity there though
