Played a couple of hours this evening. Some levels are great fun, especially the giant toadstools. I'm a bit disappointed that there's a lot a repeat levels from previous games over the years with very little (if any?) updating of them. That's only a minor complaint though. Great fun overall.

i find the wheel to be a bit un-necessary, but a nice little bonus.

played with the wheel for a few hours, then switched to the good ol gamecube controllers.

what's bad about wii accessories is that they're white. i've cleaned my zapper a few times, cousins come over and leave their dirty finger prints on it. have to jiff it off. bah!

back to playing =)

played for a few hours yesturday. I'm happy enough with the wheel on manual for when i play.

biggest beef

no multiplayer grand prix mode. that would have been sweet.

Likes:
- Fast and easy online setup.
- Nice selection of vehicles.

Gripes:
- Bumping into anything stops you dead.
- Lack of multiplayer GP.
- Lack of free-for-all battle.
- Uber-powerful items too frequent.
- Forgettable [new] music.
- Poor [new] track design compared to previous games.

If I didn't get it for $65, I'd be really disappointed. This one is not anywhere near being all that it could be.

Until you mentioned it i'd never even considered doing that, the previous kart games haven't been customisable like that (or captain oblivious here didn't notice if they were). Buh bye to the inky.

It's really good that all you grown men enjoy this so much.

You're fooling yourself is you believe GTA is anything more than adolescent male power fantasy. Now that i've said that let me get back to reading New Avengers.
