Finally got around to seeing Dredd, it was everything I expected from a sci-fi/action remake. It's not great but not all bad, kinda just there lol.

Dredd was all sorts of awesome, good and violent and made on the cheap with any luck a sequel will be made

Yeah but I felt like I should have been watching it in 3D as all the effects looked like they were made just for that and I don't like that, kinda like Thor.

Finally got around to seeing Dredd and I was happy with it. Pretty much what I thought a Dredd movie should be. Lots of wanton violence and Dredd doing what he does best - judging.

Saw silver linings playbook. 8/10, good drama, some funny bits and great acting. Good date movie with the Mrs.

Watched 50/50 on Sunday night. Simple enough story and was very well acted. I liked that it had more real world emotion than overdramatic movie emotion.

Saw Django Unchained and it was fun. A typical Tarantino film.

Watched the "Silent Night" remake last night. It was fairly decent. I've seen worse remakes recently (Prom Night).

Just watched Django Unchained and I thought it was a pretty good flick. Enjoyed with the same abandon as I do with all other Tarantino films....

Lawless, its a good one, it surprised me because I don't usually like movies like that but the acting was great and the filming was brilliant Smile

Watched Silver Linings Playbook....and I have no idea why that movie got so much attention at the Oscars. I mean, I actually like Jeniffer Lawrence but this movie felt like The Notebook but with football. It's advertisements are definitely misleading, I don't know, it maybe because I'm not a romance movie fan. I was kinda annoyed at the end because if I'd had known, if the trailers had been more honest I wouldn't have wasted my time on it!

Mama by Guillermo Del Toro. Bit creepy in places, a few jump moments, not too bad a flick....the ending is odd though!

Oblivion.
Both my wife and I loved it. Great Sci-Fi, well directed. It has sci-fi, action, thriller and mystery, all in one.
I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen.
I wish they bring out a toy line, but I doubt it.

I watched a German Zombie film called "Extinction" which wasn't bad.

Al so watched a Korean fantasy film called "Woochi". Cool ideas for a fun film.

Star Trek: Into Darkness.

I wasn't a fan. Star Trek's motto is to go boldly where no-one has gone before. Not to go where someone went in 1982, but with a few minor changes.

And I do think it works better as a TV series. The plot developments they used to ensure that all of the "named" characters (aka "stars") had enough scenes and lines were ridiculous.
