Seen a few recently, Zohan- which was very funny. Incredible Hulk which was good and Hellboy sword of storms.

To sloppily paraphrase our own Shocka;

Recently saw Mirrors. Do not see Mirrors.

Starts off with a great premise, but ends up as a tired rip-off of the Silent Hill & RE films.

What a waste.

It's probably for the best... No

Rather then watching the rest of IJatKotCS, I would suggest instead watching the South Park episode "The China Probrem" (Season 12, Ep. 08 ), which contains a disturbingly accurate appraisal of it all.

Sad

Seriously, South Park is at Season 12? That makes me feel really old.

Speaking of which, here's a memo from Matt Stone to the MPAA Re: the South Park movie.

American Teen -An interesting sometimes funny doco with some standard white american chiched teens as subjects, some classic lines such as "we have things in common....we both suck at life" said to a girl on afirst date....As a teacher was quite interesting to see how some of these kids get spoken to by staff and parents...and a good reminder to consider what i say at school

Mad Max on foxtel the other day......always liked the movie but couldn't really remember what happens at the end.....was surprised to see that for the last 2 mins I was watching the first Saw movie.....I always looked at Saw as a more extreme take on the morals in Fightclub now it seems like a blatant rip off/expansion of this ending.....maybe it's Leigh Wahnel's "Liefeld styled Homage"

Twilight last wednesday at a preview screening.
Meh.
'Dawson's Creek' with a vampire in it.
Needed more explosions, gore and nudity.

Lol Fuzzcat, it was based on a series of books that were aimed at 13 year old girls...it was never going to be like that Razz

Anyway. Through a case of one mistake after the other, I managed to go to the movies last night with the intention of seeing Bond and ended up watching Twilight instead (was given the wrong ticket and didn't realise til the movie had started).

I found the movie quite enjoyable, and am looking forward to the next one. Hopefully the quality of it doesn't change. Smile

I know all this all too well - I am a manager at a Borders bookstore, I see the hundreds of said girls buying the shit.
Interesting story, badly written - I have read the first two, might knock the other two over someday.

The Strangers. Wasn`t expecting much, but it actually freaked me out a bit.
The Orphanage. Liked it a lot, great companion piece to Del Toro`s Devil`s Backbone, I thought.

On a side note, I`ve decided to splash out on a 50" tv, nothing top of the range, but really looking forward to getting it. Been saving The Dark Knight for its christening!!

Manager at borders, really? Maybe you can answer the one burning question in my mind, why do borders triple printed us prices on graphic novels? $17.99 does not equal $45 last time i calculated it??????????????

I'm amazed that they stock single comics......let alone sell them ... most single issues in the Perth store have price tags of around $10-11...surely only the odd parent would buy them at that price

Check out this Canadian flick, Lost and Delirious, providing you haven`t seen it already and can track it down.
Caught it on SBS a couple of times and really like it.
