MOTUC on the other hand, are plastic masterpieces, and you would be hard pressed finding anyone who thinks they are garbage, whether they buy them or not.......

Its the price I think, that puts them off. I'm actually happy to pay a little extra for the great articulation and sculpts.... I was always so envious of Star wars collectors, but would have been disappointed if we'd got that limited articulation in MU. We really are blessed by comparison.

Sorry i have taken so long to get back to you, but i have one now. But on a strange note, i have been speaking to the Toys R Us folk in Canberra and it seems that they are holding onto a few boxes out the back. I got another variant Daredevil and Bullseye from them which kind of pissed me off seeing as i paid a "price" for Bullseye previously.

What i am after at the moment is the Variant Vision figure who is meant to be transluscent and the differently coloured Warpath. Anyone seen them yet?

I went down town the other day & saw an X-men origins Weapon X Wolvie figure. Thought he would look good with my other MU figures so bought him.

When I open him up & pose him with the group, he seems to be a different scale...much smaller than the other MU figures I own.

I was surprised since I was sure the Gambit I bought was from Origins, & he's the same size as the other MU figures, but Wolvie is noticeably smaller.

I had considered his comic book height, but even so he still looks pretty small comparitively:

Actually the more I look at him now the more he seems fine. The Gambit in this wave was obviously based on the comics & not the movie, so I gather this is a comic based Weapon X & not from the movie which makes the height understandable.

Saw some newer figures from this line today at Target in Tweed Heads, they had wave 5 Iron Man and Guardian and some Secret Wars wave 1 double packs. Can't say I see $18 value in one of these figures, the quality control looks shocking, one Capt America was missing the A from his mask altogether and I wasn't looking too closely. This scale does nothing for me, which is great for my wallet. I guess ML is dead now then eh?

And you did not buy it? That sounds like a figure that might be worth something, i would have bought it. Exclamation

That's not how I operate PBO. I buy figures I like, not ones that may have value... one day... I have too much crap in my house as it is! I'm not an MOC guy either, I like to rip 'em open and put 'em on display! Not these little guys though...

The new Series 2 (HAMMER style cards) are here in Oz (I received my stock from Hasbro just today).
I must say that I think the quality of these is improving with this new wave. The Luke Cage and Thor figures are particularly good. Even the Extremis Iron Man (which I've already busted out of its packet) is pretty darn nice Smile

Toys R Us Belconnen Mall is still badly unstocked, and all they have is 2 rows of Ronin. However, K-mart and Myer have some pretty good stock. Toys R Us suck...........

The Mattel Basic WWE 6" figures are only $13 each!

Perth Marvel Universe

Post by Steve on Tue Jun 15, 2010 5:28 pm

Does anyone know a good place to find these in Perth?
The best place that i know of is Toyworld in Midland, i've been able to pick up some of the newer ones there like Bucky, WW11 Cap and Extremis Iron Man (really good figure by the way). But everywhere else just seem to have old ones like Ronin, Hand ninja etc.

The Asst with Bucky, WWII Cap, Thor etc is the most recent Asst reelased by Hasbro Australia. If you have these, then you're up to date with what has been released here in Australia so far.

Has anyone seen or know where to source, the Marvel Universe Giant Packs (Skrull & Goliath) in Australia? I'm also trying to find the exclusive (Toys 'R' Us?) 3 packs or the Invaders SDCC set.
