Ebay is the best place as i just got a bunch at $5US combined with postage worked out cheaper than buying here. In total i got 5 figures for the price of 2. Just a suggestion because i hate paying $20 for most things.

My local K-Mart today had red hulk, classic iron man, spidey, thing, stealth IM, and a couple of ronins. none of them inspired me to hand over a 20 though... I like the DCIH 3 3/4" line much better and they are cheaper!

and what's the logic with the character selection Question why TWO ms marvels? why ronin and union jack? wtf? and guardian and ANOTHER spidey and IM are coming in wave 5? why? where are the villains? so far we have a heap of heroes to beat up on the goblins and some 3 3/4" ninjas?

the ss galactus suggestion sounds the best idea I've heard of for this whole line...

Apparently it has to do with charactor demand and trying to line up events in comics with figure release. Ms Marvel has featured heavily in Thunderbolts lately and there are two of them featuring in different titles. That is also why there is a Red hulk.

I just mean that besides the five new figures in the case of twelve there are seven packed in that were from previous waves like the Hand Ninja and classic Iron Man from Wave 3.

Oh well, One figure to go now. Damned grey hulk! Even the grey Captain America and two bullseye figures were easier to get than him. How are people going with getting variants?

One would hope that Hasbro repack some of the harder figures like Grey Hulk, Daredevil and Bullseye with some of the upcoming new releases and not just repack with Spideys and Iron Man. I am not interested in a situation like with Marvel Legends where some chase figures and variants were too hard to track down except on ebay. The Secret Wars Twin Packs are available to order from Casefresh but $40.00 a pop is expensive. With the Aussie dollar doing better at the moment you should be able to get them direct from the U.S. for under $30.00. I hope that Toys-r-us here pick up the three packs especially the troop builders now out at Toys-r-us in the U.S.
I'll keep a look out here in S.A. for another Grey Hulk for you, cheers, Icey.

We seem to have quite a few grey hulks in Brisbane. I am however in the hunt for a Bullseye (I could not even find one when I was in NY in March).

In the meantime, I've just purchased Thunderball, Klaw & Cap on ebay for $53 Aus (including postage) - which I thought was a fair price to pay.

I also hope that Toys-r-us pick up the three packs. Ebay has them over-priced at the moment.

Happy hunting.

Just thought that i would warn you all about buying from a fellow on eBay called Matthew T Westover, Mmatt, Matumatt, mmattebay@gmail.com, Matt Westover or Tyler Westover. These are a few of the names he uses to "sell" all sorts of figures.

He is a Fraud! He will rip you off and you will not see your purchases. He got me with a Ms Marvel figure. If you want to see more of his evil deeds just do an online search and you will see how many people he has pissed off around the world.

Heads up guys. Toyworld in Adelaide have all three Marvel Secret Wars Two Packs in stock at $36.99 a pack. I have already got them coming at about $28.00 a pack off ebay along with the SDCC Cap so I didn't need them. I like the presentation with the comics included but can't help but think how much better if they had been Marvel Legends scale. Having said that this scale does go well in my diorama settings I am working on.

Re: Marvel Universe Figures

Post by The Iceman on Thu Aug 20, 2009 12:10 pm

For anyone interested in either new Marvel Universe or Marvel Legends I emailed Hasbro with a list of questions.
The answers I received were a bit vague at this stage but at least they are aware of their release in the U.S.

"I have purchased the first four waves of Marvel Universe. Is wave 5 due for release soon?"
Picked up by www.figuresdirect.com.au
Will you be bringing the Marvel Universe Secret Wars to Australia for release and if so which stores are picking them up?
Yes, but only when we receive stores confirmation.
There are also three army builder sets been released in the U.S. -1. Spider-man, Firestar & Iceman,2. Daredevil, Silver Surfer & Iron Man, 3.Shield Agent, Hand Ninja & Hydra Agent.
Will they be picked up for release here too?
NO.
Also on the agenda in the next month or two are Marvel Universe Gigantic Battles.
To Be Confirmed.
On the Marvel Legend front there are three new two packs being released now in the U.S.
Kree & Skrull soldiers, Nick Fury & Hand Ninja, Iron Man & Maria Hill-Shield Agent.

Are they likely to be released here?
To Be Confirmed

Here's hoping enough stores run with the product especially with Marvel Legends as Hasbro needs to have great sales on these if the series has any chance of surviving. A positive out of it is Paul has an order in for Series 5. I am really keen to pick up the Gigantic Battles as well so hope they are also picked up here.

I had to order the Army builders from ebay, have not got any Secret wars ones yet. I think that the best figure out of that lot is the Hydra agent, but there is something not quite right about it.

I just won the Nick Fury figure on ebay so i will hopefully get a pic up in the next week or so.

Has anyone seen the new Thor figure yet?
