I never ever believe the reviews. My likes and dislikes are always too retarded to believe what someone else recommends entirely Razz

Exactly. Always best to make your own mind up regardless. After all, it's the only sure way to know what you think about a film, and let's face it, what you personally think is all that should ultimately matter to you at the end of the day, regardless of how many others happen share those tastes and opinions. Smile

Hell, I own merchandise to movies that a lot of people wouldn't even bother to piss on, so I'm all about the personal taste thing... Laughing

I'll probably go see this on Tuesday, which I have off from work anyhow, but everything I've seen so far leads me to believe that it's all action, no story, which is pretty much the opposite of Cameron's vision for the first two Terminator films - where the action was used as a tool to drive the narative and characters forward, rather than the characters and story just being an excuse for blowing a whole bunch of shit up, which looks to be more the case here.

Still, maybe it'll surprise me. And Hell, I already endured T3 in theatres back when that came out, so it can't be any more painfully paint by numbers and disjointed than that was, surely...I hope.

Took the old man to see it over the weekend. IMO it kinda felt like most of the Terminator sequels. Have they confirmed it's part one of a three parter or is all that subject to how well this one does?

McG stated that he thinks Linda Hamilton will be the star of Terminator 5, whatís the deal with that? I don't want to get my hopes up because I can't see that happening but that would make me happier that any film could ever if true.

Well I only saw it for Linda Hamilton (Voice-over) and Kyle Reese, Anton Yelchin was almost as good as Michael Biehn... I did not like Star, Kate Connor and Barnes and Hope they die in up coming films. (after Kate gives birth)Neutral Christian Bale was shit and I hope Kyle Reese/Anton Yelchin becomes more of a star of the next 2 films.

sorry to dissapoint you Kyle_Reese,

but in T3, it is stated that kate reprogrammes the terminator to protect john in the past. (they only caught it because it had already killed john in the future)

so unfortunently kate will survive, john will die, sorry for spoiling the next 2 movies

Saw it loved the FX, seeing the Hunter Killers in action was cool, the bike scout terminators that came out of that huge terminator, made me think of transformers.... it was a great movie but not the best of the terminator franchise..

and is that the actor ( who played Kyle Reese in TS ) from the new star trek movie who was cast as the new Pavel Chekov ?

Come on, the future has been changed so many times, Eg: the war starting in 2004 (T3) and not 1997 (T2), The best Resistance fighters getting killed in T3 and not being in the T4 future, and Marcus would have never been around if the war stared in 1997, so alternate future happened in ever film. So donít worry, you didnít spoiler anything for me lol Smile.
