Twilight Figures

Post by Pixo on Fri May 08, 2009 7:57 am

I don't know if anyone on this forum has an interest but I noted as new additions on my toy runs yesterday that Big W and Target both had Twilight (film) action figures @ $29.99.

I liked it....it was fairly harmless. But, you are males, and I know how you all seem to like nothing but action and sports etc Razz

That said, I wouldn't buy the action figures - even if they weren't hideous.

And as for action figure range at Big W - at least your local will actually get these. Mine doesn't get jack most of the time...

Razz
Even I can admit that the best part of the movie was Alice...
...and the baseball scene, that was rather epic.

actually the baseball thing in thunderstorms was pretty cool i guess, i think seeing true blood before this ruined it for me though, true blood is pretty much the same premise but without the teen stuff

I thought I woudl hate Twilight, but I thought it was pretty good. That vampire that looks worried all the time at the start....the reason he looked worried was so well done.

Anyone seen the 2 packs of Edward and Alice???, Mrs Grimr wants for anything Twilight and True Blood...June is not close enough!!!

Just really loved the usage of Muse in that baseball scene, it was brilliant, took my breath away. I don't want to watch it now on DVD because it'll ruin it for me haha!
And Hemish, I love that shirt too Very Happy

You mentioned plural figures. All I can find at any store (Target, BigW) is that damn ugly male lead. I would so love to get the fmelae lead though.

Twilight sucks (pun not intended)! True Blood rules!

As for the figures. I've only seen Edward on the shelves (strangely in the "boys" aisle as well - I think they would sell better in the "girls" aisle or at least on a "neutral" end-cap).

The Edward (in sunglasses) and Bella (aged 45) two-pack has only just been released in the US. I'm not sure if Big W or Target plan to get in stocks of the two-pack.

The single-packed Alice is the next announced figure, but with NECA's usual delays, I wouldn't expect to see it for a while (it may be released to coincide with the sequel to the film).

Cheers.

Saw the Edward with Sunglasses and Alice 2 pack in Target today....was kinda exciting till I saw the price, which I think was $59.99 maybe it was $69.99, either way I gawked at it and muttered that a 2 pack should always be cheaper than 2 separate figures.

And Sweetest, the Alice figure does look pretty close...but as always probably better to be spoiled for choice when selecting one as like a box of chocolates with NECA you never know what paint app quality you are going to get.
